Previously, the bodies of the male pilot and three other victims were found by forces on the night of April 5 and April 6. The basic parts of the Bell 505 helicopter have been found and are continuing to be salvaged from the seabed and brought to the mainland to serve the investigation. According to a source from the Quang Ninh Military Command, on the night of April 6 and early morning of April 7, search and rescue forces, with the core being the Navy's special water divers and forces of Quang Ninh province, increased their search and screening in a wide area around the center of the VN-8650 plane wreckage. At around 8:00 a.m. on April 7, the body of the fifth victim in the accident was found a few hundred meters from the plane wreckage. From April 5 to 7, the authorities mobilized over 500 officers, soldiers, frogmen, etc., along with dozens of vehicles to actively search for the victims and the crashed helicopter. Quang Ninh has supported the victim's family with 20 million VND/person. Ha Long City continues to support the victim's family with an additional 10 million VND/person. Thus, the total support amount from Ha Long City is 16 million VND/victim. In addition, the victims' relatives have agreed on a plan to move the victims' bodies back to their hometowns for burial. In particular, the body of Colonel Chu Quang Minh has been examined by the authorities, his identity has been clearly identified, and was handed over to his family at 4:30 p.m. on April 6 to be brought back to his residence in Hanoi for burial.
With the body of victim Ho Thi Oanh, after the authorities agreed with the family, they moved it to be cremated at An Lac Vien Crematorium (Ha Long City). With the bodies of victims Ho Ta Luc and Pham Thi Be, the authorities agreed with the families to move them by road to their hometown in Da Nang City to hold a funeral according to the family's wishes. This work was carried out on the night of April 6 after completing the cremation of the body of victim Ho Thi Oanh. The Northern Helicopter Company will be directly responsible for transporting the bodies and ashes of the victims by road to their localities to perform the funeral ceremony. Previously, on the evening of April 5, according to information from the Propaganda Department, Ministry of National Defense: Bell-505 aircraft, registration number VN-8650 of the Northern Helicopter Company under the Vietnam Helicopter Corporation (Army Corps 18) piloted by Colonel Chu Quang Minh, carrying 4 Vietnamese tourists on a sightseeing tour of Ha Long Bay from above, took off at 4:56 p.m., and lost contact at 5:15 p.m. As soon as the aircraft lost signal, the Northern Helicopter Company coordinated with the Border Guard and local military forces to urgently search and rescue.
