Timely support for people
Faced with the situation of prolonged rain and floods causing widespread inundation and many complicated developments, officers and soldiers of Brigade 680 (Navy Region 3) quickly arrived to support people in deeply flooded areas to overcome difficulties.
In Ha Nha commune, Da Nang city, there were many points where the water level was more than 3m deep; hundreds of households suffered heavy property damage. With the motto "4 on-site", Brigade 680 mobilized specialized rescue boats, special vehicles and many cars of all kinds. Regardless of the danger, overcoming the rain and floods, the unit's working groups coordinated with local authorities to move dozens of households to safety, especially giving priority to the elderly, women and children.

Present at the scene to command the troops carrying out rescue work, Colonel Pham Van Toan, Brigade Commander of Brigade 680, said: “Ha Nha Commune is a sister unit of Brigade 680 and is also one of the areas most severely flooded in this historic flood. Upon receiving instructions from superiors, the Brigade immediately mobilized forces and vehicles to help the people. This practical support is the responsibility and also the sentiment of the Navy soldiers towards the people in the sister unit.”
Rescue vehicles of Brigade 680 continuously moved in the isolated area due to flood water to transport people, goods, supply food, drinking water and support medical care for people. At the same time, officers and soldiers also actively helped people move their properties, clean up their houses, contributing to stabilizing the situation after the flood.

Up to now, units under the Naval Region 3 Command have mobilized over 200 officers and soldiers along with 7 rescue boats and 12 cars of various types to support people in flooded areas in Da Nang city and Hue city.

I was very worried because my family had both elderly people and children. Fortunately, thanks to the help of the Navy, my family was supported with necessities and taken to a safe location.”
Shock against "pirates"
The soldiers of Naval Region 3 have been regularly present at heavily flooded areas such as Phong Dien Ward (Hue City); Ha Nha, Hoa Tien, Hoi An, Dien Ban Communes (Da Nang City).
