Coast Guard Region 2 supports fishermen's families whose 2 fishing boats burned down

(NLDO) - The fire on two fishing boats caused more than 2.7 billion VND in damage, causing Mr. Huynh Phi Ho's family to fall into a difficult situation.

On the afternoon of October 16, Police Region 2 coordinated with the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee to visit and support 21 million VND to the family of fisherman Huynh Phi Ho, residing in Binh Dong Commune, Binh Son District. Mr. Ho is the owner of 2 fishing boats that were burned at the same time.

Colonel Le Huy Sinh, Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 2, and Mr. Vo Thanh An, Head of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, directly visited and encouraged Mr. Huynh Phi Ho's family to try to overcome difficulties and improve their lives.

The local Party Committee and government have also called on agencies, units, philanthropists, and neighbors to share and support Mr. Huynh Phi Ho's family to overcome difficulties.

Previously, as reported by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper , in the early morning of October 14, a fire broke out at the boat mooring area in Tan Hy 1 village, Binh Dong commune, burning two boats of Mr. Huynh Phi Ho's family.

Although the local government and functional forces deployed many rescue measures, due to strong winds, the fire quickly spread and burned down 2 fishing boats. One of them, Mr. Ho, had just bought and brought to anchor when the accident occurred.

According to the ship owner's estimate, the fire caused more than 2.7 billion VND in damage.
