In the past time, with the highest determination to compete towards the congress, officers and soldiers of Coast Guard Region 4 have always been united, made efforts, overcome difficulties, and strived to excellently complete all assigned tasks, especially on the front of fighting against crimes and law violations at sea. Typically, on July 27 and 28, the functional forces of Coast Guard Region 4 discovered, arrested, and handled 2 fishing vessels illegally transporting about 300,000 liters of DO oil in the Southwest sea, especially the arrest of fishing vessel QB 96679 TS on July 28 with the amount of illegally transported oil of about 260,000 liters of DO oil.

Lieutenant General Bui Quoc Oai, Political Commissar of the Vietnam Coast Guard, presented a certificate of merit to Coast Guard Region 4 at the 6th Congress of the Vietnam Coast Guard Party Committee.

Along with that, on July 30, the functional forces of the Region presided over and coordinated with relevant units to arrest a subject in Phu Quoc Special Zone, An Giang province, for illegally buying and selling drugs with a quantity of 215 grams of crystal meth.

To promptly commend and recognize the above achievements, at the 6th Congress of the Vietnam Coast Guard Party Committee, the head of the Vietnam Coast Guard awarded a certificate of merit to Coast Guard Region 4.
