Den Sang Commune: Tomato growing model in greenhouses brings in revenue of nearly 2 billion VND per year

After 3 years of implementation, the high-tech greenhouse tomato growing model of Hiep Phat Production and Trading Company Limited deployed in Den Sang commune has brought in revenue of nearly 2 billion VND per year.

Since 2023, Hiep Phat Production and Trading Company Limited has signed a contract to lease 3.3 hectares of production land from people in Khu Chu Phin village, Den Sang commune, at a price of 30 million VND/ha/year to implement a tomato growing model.

After renting land from local people, the enterprise invested in building a high-tech greenhouse system to grow tomatoes, contributing to improving the efficiency of agricultural land use.

The greenhouse is equipped with an automatic drip irrigation system and a nylon roof to help regulate light, maintain humidity, limit pests and diseases, and save costs. Thanks to that, tomato plants grow well, produce high yields, and have consistent fruit quality.

Each year the greenhouse harvests about 150 tons of tomatoes.

With an output of about 150 tons of fruit per year, the greenhouse tomato growing model brings in nearly 2 billion VND in revenue, while creating stable jobs for dozens of local workers.

Tomato products grown in greenhouses in Den Sang commune are consumed at many wholesale markets inside and outside the province, contributing to increasing the value of agricultural products in the highlands.
