Durian price today August 8: Thai durian grade A slightly decreased

Durian prices today slightly decreased, Thai durian type A reached 72,000 - 80,000 VND/kg, Ri6 type A reached 40,000 - 45,000 VND/kg, lowest bulk purchase price was 20,000 VND/kg.

Domestic durian prices

The price of Thai durian grade A decreased slightly, to 72,000 - 80,000 VND/kg, VIP goods reached 85,000 - 95,000 VND/kg. Sau Ri6 was stable, grade A 40,000 - 45,000 VND/kg, bulk purchase 20,000 - 26,000 VND/kg. Musang King maintained its price, grade A 55,000 - 62,000 VND/kg. In the West, output was low due to the end of the season, bulk purchase price was 20,000 - 24,000 VND/kg. The Southeast and Central Highlands had higher prices, but the quality was uneven.

Market and output

Dak Lak is preparing for a major harvest with 392,000 tons from 39,544 hectares, an increase of 30,000 tons compared to last year. Lam Dong has 43,960 hectares of durian, 337 export growing area codes. Localities have increased quality control and monitoring of growing area codes to meet export standards.

Durian exports

Vietnam exports durian to 22 countries, China being the main market. Dak Lak has 269 growing area codes with 7,400 hectares. China tightens inspection of pesticide residues and banned substances (yellow O), demanding improved quality. Export turnover has decreased, but the Japanese and US markets have expanded thanks to improved quality.
