On the morning of November 1, the domestic durian market continued to record high and stable prices for high-quality durian varieties for export. The Thai VIP durian variety was purchased at a price of up to 120,000 VND/kg in key growing areas. The main reason is said to be the stable demand from the Chinese market.

Market analysis and forecasting
According to traders, the market remains vibrant thanks to the increased demand for purchasing to serve official export, especially from China and some Southeast Asian countries. However, the selling price between regions still has differences due to factors such as quality, maturity and transportation costs.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tu, owner of a purchasing warehouse in Tien Giang, said: “Durian prices are still at a good level thanks to favorable exports, but growers need to pay attention to the quality of the fruit. Import partners, especially China, are increasingly tightening standards, requiring clear requirements on size and sugar content.”
Experts say that Thai VIP and Musang King durians are likely to maintain high prices in the first half of November as supply begins to decrease. Meanwhile, Ri6 and Thai durians of type B and C are unlikely to see any significant changes due to slower domestic consumption. Durian prices are expected to remain high in the short term before entering a more subdued period from the end of November.
