Awarding certificate of ranking of provincial historical and cultural relic Ta communal house
Ta Communal House, located in Thanh Binh hamlet, Doan Ket commune, Yen Thuy district, Hoa Binh province. The communal house was built in the 19th century (around 1864-1865). Initially, the communal house was built with bamboo, thatched roof, facing south. Until around 1925 (the 10th year of Khai Dinh), Ta Communal House was rebuilt with ironwood, thatched roof with an area of over 40m2. The communal house has a T-shaped architecture (J) including the Front Courtyard and the Back Palace. The wooden architectural structure of the communal house at that time consisted of 06 sets of trusses: 04 sets of middle trusses and 02 sets of side trusses. The middle truss was designed in the style of overlapping beams and gongs, the left truss was made in the style of overlapping beams and columns with corner lines. The communal house consists of 4 rows of columns, with 8 main columns and 16 secondary columns, the columns are all round and smooth, all the column bases are placed on foundations. On the columns are carved dragon and phoenix patterns. On the beams, rafters, rafter and beams are carved images of flowers, leaves, clouds...
Through the upheavals of history, in 1961 - 1962, the Communal House was destroyed, leaving only the frame. The artifacts of the Communal House were sent to the people for preservation, but no one dared to preserve the royal decree and royal edict of the Communal House, so they were placed in Dong Khu Temple, 300m west of the Communal House. In 1980, Dong Khu Temple burned down, all the artifacts of the Temple as well as the royal decree and royal edict of Ta Communal House were also burned down. After many renovations, the Communal House was rebuilt as it is today. Ta Communal House currently preserves many ancient artifacts of historical, cultural and scientific value, including many different types and materials such as: wood, bronze, porcelain, fabric...
The communal house is a place to worship the Three Saints of Tan Vien Mountain. Among them, the Supreme God of Tan Vien Mountain is the first god of the "Four Immortals". In the folk consciousness, the Three Saints of Tan Vien Mountain are symbols of the power of connection, the connection between land and mountains, the connection between tribes, the connection between humans and gods... That connection creates people with the power to defeat all brutal invaders to protect land, fields, villages, affirming the power of humans in the face of majestic nature and also having the power of boundless creativity in cultural values of compassion to save humanity. With the great contributions of the Three Saints of Tan Vien Mountain, people in many places in our country, including Ta communal house, have honored them as the village's Thanh Hoang and worshiped them, burning incense in the communal house. Later, Ta communal house also worshiped General Quach Trong Kim. When rebuilding the communal house as it is today, the people of Thanh Binh hamlet brought the two Ladies from Dong Khu temple to worship together in the communal house.
