Faced with the urgent situation, the People's Committee and the Civil Defense Command of Phu Nghia commune mobilized the Militia and Self-Defense Force to urgently build sandbags to prevent overflow on the Boi Ta Tich dike.

Chairman of Phu Nghia Commune People's Committee Nguyen Dinh Sy and leaders of the Economic Department and the Commune Military Command were present at the scene to direct and encourage the task force.
Comrade Nghia Nguyen Dinh Sy also directed the Economic Department and the Commune Military Command to assign officers and forces to regularly patrol along the dikes on the left and right of Tich, to cover Bui through the commune to promptly detect incidents and promptly report to the Commune Disaster Prevention Command to deploy timely response plans.

As the water level continued to rise, the Commune Civil Defense Command continued to mobilize dozens of officers and soldiers of the Militia and Self-Defense Force, along with the people of Quyet Ha and Trung Hoang villages, to reinforce the weak dike sections. At the Boi Ta Tich dike section, which is more than 500 meters long, and the Bui Ta Bui dike, which is about 100 meters long, the rescue force used thousands of sacks and 600 m³ of sand to prevent overflow.
Despite the prolonged heavy rain, officers, soldiers and people still made efforts, regardless of difficulties, to protect the dike, minimizing the risk of damage.
The Militia and Self-Defense Force of Phu Nghia Commune and the People of Quyet Ha Village participated in building the dike.
The Civil Defense Command of Phu Nghia commune said that in the coming time, it will continue to: Maintain 24/7 on-duty forces; closely monitor water level and weather conditions; promptly inspect and detect incidents of seepage, leaks, and risks of dike safety; proactively deploy response plans to ensure the safety of people's lives, property, and production.
The drastic and timely efforts of the government, the Militia and Self-Defense Forces and the local people have demonstrated a proactive and united spirit in natural disaster prevention and control, protecting the safety of the dike system and people's lives.
