(QNO) - The People's Committee of Tan Hiep Commune (Hoi An City) has just chaired and coordinated with the Management Board of Cu Lao Cham Marine Protected Area and Hoi An Public Works Joint Stock Company to launch a resource recovery facility in Bai Huong village (abbreviated as MRF) under the sponsorship of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Vietnam.
The MRF in Bai Huong village officially came into operation in February 2023. This is a place to collect and process waste in the direction of utilizing waste to make compost and multi-purpose detergent, contributing to solving the amount of organic waste for the Bai Huong village community, while reducing the amount of waste for Eo Gio landfill (Cu Lao Cham) as well as the number of waste transportation trips, especially during the rainy season when travel is difficult.
MRF Bai Huong village was replicated after the MRF model in Bai Ong village (Tan Hiep commune) was put into operation and received positive results.
