Determining the next opponent of U21 Vietnam at the world volleyball tournament

The final matches of groups A and C have ended, and the opponent of the Vietnam U21 women's volleyball team in the round of 16 has been determined to be a strong European team - U21 Türkiye.

Vietnam U21 made history by reaching the knockout round of the U21 Volleyball World Cup in their first time participating.

Coach Nguyen Trong Linh and his team's achievements were very impressive when they excellently won second place in Group A with 4 wins and only 1 loss, against Argentina.

The Vietnam U21 women's volleyball team will enter the round of 16 match of the 2025 U21 World Cup, against Turkey U21 at 10:00 on August 13 in Indonesia.

Under the guidance of coach Nguyen Trong Linh, young girls like Dang Thi Hong, Lai Khanh Huyen and Nguyen Phuong Quynh have shown stable performance, combining fast, flexible playing style with persistent fighting spirit.

However, the Turkish opponent is one of the strongest teams in Europe, possessing a squad of athletes with outstanding physique, comprehensive technique and extensive international competition experience.

Türkiye U21 ranked 3rd in Group C, after defeating Algeria 3-0, losing to Poland (group winner) 0-3, winning Egypt 3-0, losing to Czech Republic 2-3 and winning Italy (group runner-up) with a score of 3-2.

The match promises to be a big challenge, but with the fearless spirit and confidence, U21 Vietnam can completely create a surprise, continuing the fairy tale in this year's tournament.
