Building a digital culture helps businesses create a workforce with innovative thinking, creativity, and the ability to adapt quickly to market changes and fluctuations. This is also key to the sustainable development of digital transformation within businesses.
Developing human resources and enhancing corporate culture.
In the context of digital transformation, many businesses in Dong Nai province recognize that technology is merely a tool, while people and corporate culture are the decisive factors for success.

Mr. Pham Van Nam, Chairman and Director of Petrolimex Dong Nai Co., Ltd. (Tran Bien Ward), shared: To develop human resources and corporate culture in the digital age, the company has been implementing a comprehensive approach based on three key directions. Firstly, regarding human resource development, 100% of the company's staff and employees are trained in digital skills, including: using management systems, information security, and gradually accessing artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support their work. This is a gradual shift from traditional work thinking to digital thinking, using data as a foundation.
Secondly, regarding the development of a digital corporate culture, the company focuses on creating a transparent, disciplined, innovative, and adaptable work environment. Operational activities are increasingly data-driven and based on specific performance indicators. Thirdly, in terms of future direction, the Petrolimex system in general and Petrolimex Dong Nai in particular will continue to promote the application of AI, implement automation solutions, and perfect a comprehensive digital enterprise model.
Corporate culture is playing an increasingly important role in organization, closely linked to operations, human resources, and strategy. Many businesses are reinvesting in their values, behavioral standards, measurement mechanisms, and governance processes. This opens up sustainable organizational capabilities, rather than relying solely on growth rate or technological innovation, and fosters innovation within the business.
According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, a member of the Dong Nai Innovation and Entrepreneurship Council and Director of Nai House Co., Ltd. (Long Binh ward), in the context of digital transformation and the ever-developing science and technology , corporate culture not only reflects the vision, mission, philosophy, and core values of the business but also plays a crucial role in enhancing and developing the brand, bringing social value to the business, and aiming to bring customer satisfaction and trust to the business.
A crucial foundation for sustainable development.
The Politburo has issued Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW on the development of Vietnamese culture. In the current context, building a culture in conjunction with the digital transformation process plays a crucial role in the development of businesses.
Mr. Abraham Nguyen Quang Huy, Vice President of the National Startup Association and President of 9S UNION (Global Economic Union), shared: Culture is not outside the flow of development; it is the foundation, endogenous resource, driving force, and pillar of rapid and sustainable development. In the digital age, businesses must understand this early on. Technology can help move quickly, but only culture can help achieve sustainable and strong development.
“I believe that local businesses, especially startups, need to focus on five core values in building a corporate culture in the digital age. Firstly, integrity, transparency, keeping promises, and respecting the law. Secondly, discipline in speed; businesses can develop quickly but not carelessly, and innovate but not arbitrarily. Thirdly, a spirit of lifelong learning, because in today's era of rapidly developing artificial intelligence (AI), failing to update knowledge and information will likely lead to being left behind. Fourthly, a culture of serving customers and society. Fifthly, digital ethics – respecting data, privacy, and responsibility with technology,” added Mr. Abraham Nguyen Quang Huy.
Associate Professor Vu Tuan Hung, Director of the Southern Region Institute of Social Sciences, emphasized: In the context of reforming the growth model towards in-depth development linked to breakthroughs in science and technology, digital transformation, and innovation, the development of culture and social sciences is always a crucial foundation for the development of each locality and enterprise. Therefore, localities need to pay attention to and focus on promoting digital transformation while preserving and promoting cultural and social values, creating a foundation for sustainable development in the digital age.
Mr. Pham Van Nam, Chairman and Director of Petrolimex Dong Nai Co., Ltd., emphasized: “Digital transformation is only successful when people change and the corporate culture is reshaped. We aim for a company that operates on data, but develops through people.”
In recent times, businesses have also paid more attention to measuring their culture. Many businesses, including local businesses, startups, and innovative companies, are beginning to consider culture as an "organizational health indicator," needing to be monitored and evaluated similarly to labor productivity, finance, or operational efficiency.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, a member of the Dong Nai Innovation and Entrepreneurship Council and Director of Nai House Co., Ltd., stated: “Businesses, especially local businesses, need to focus on three key areas: human resource development, process orientation, operational systems, and building corporate culture to create synergistic strength in developing their workforce. This will create core values and a unique identity for businesses in the current digital age and integration.”
