In order to meet the increasingly high requirements of the new situation, the Institute is determined to continue making efforts to overcome difficulties, build the unit into a strong research center, capable of leading and developing strategic technologies.

In recent years, the Military Science and Technology Institute has focused on effectively advising and proposing to the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense many important, large-scale scientific and technological research issues, focusing on modernization and technical assurance for the Army's weapons and technical equipment systems. At the same time, it has effectively organized and implemented projects, programs, topics, and scientific and technological tasks in the following basic directions: Research, new design, modernization, improvement, and extension of types of weapons and technical equipment; research and exploitation, mastery of newly equipped modern and high-tech weapons and technical equipment; research and production of spare parts, materials, preservation and maintenance technology for weapons and technical equipment; research on environmental treatment technology in special military activities and post-war toxic chemicals, response to climate change, health care products for soldiers, and participation in digital transformation programs in the Ministry of National Defense.

The programs, tasks, and projects that the Institute has advised, proposed, chaired, and participated in in recent times include developing the missile industry; combating and preventing unmanned aerial vehicles; improving and modernizing a number of technical equipment; KC.BM, KC.AT, KC.I, KC.T, KC.KT; national products BR-12, TL-01; building an operational system, calculating, and displaying sea and island combat plans on digital nautical charts and 3D digital sand tables; project XCB-01... both promptly serve training and combat readiness tasks, and create a premise and solid foundation for the development of cutting-edge technology directions...

Regarding postgraduate training, the Institute has been focusing on doctoral training in 15 majors and specialties, making an important contribution to training high-quality human resources for the Army and the country. Along with that, the Institute focuses on performing well the task of organizing technical training for the entire army's technical staff; training foreign languages ​​to serve the creation of postgraduate training resources and preparing cadres to participate in key programs and projects.

After 65 years of building, fighting and growing, the valuable lessons that the Institute has learned are to constantly and thoroughly grasp the Party's resolutions, directives and tasks assigned by superiors; focus on building a clean and strong Party organization and a strong and comprehensive unit; correctly identify the focus and key points in scientific research, aiming at solving difficult and highly complex problems, creating complete, large-scale, modern scientific products, promptly put into combat service, combat readiness, training and building the Army; have the right scientific research style and methods, have high determination and will; be self-reliant, self-reliant, dynamic and creative; strengthen and expand scientific and technological cooperation relations, pay attention to developing scientific and technical potential...

Faced with the increasingly high demands of building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and modern Army, in the coming time, the Military Science and Technology Institute is determined to strongly innovate its thinking and working methods, create breakthroughs, and build the Institute into a strong research center capable of leading and developing strategic technologies; and do better in training high-quality human resources to serve the construction and modernization of the Army. To achieve this goal, the Institute will continue to propose and focus on researching important, strategic defense science, technology, and technology issues; research and master a number of strategic technologies and digital technologies in the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo and Resolution No. 3488-NQ/QUTW of the Central Military Commission; design and manufacture a number of products with high national science and technology content, breakthroughs, and practical applications to serve national defense and security; Promote applied research, create practical products, linked to the practical needs of units, especially units moving straight to modernity. Along with that, the Institute continues to focus on leading and directing the strict and effective implementation of the task of training high-quality science and technology human resources to serve the breakthrough development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in the Army.

In addition to the efforts, endeavors, positive spirit, initiative, and high determination of the staff, employees, and scientists, the Military Science and Technology Institute hopes to continue to receive the attention, leadership, direction, assistance, and facilitation of the Central Military Commission, the head of the Ministry of National Defense, the head of the General Staff, the General Department of Politics, and the relevant agencies. This is a particularly important factor, a driving force for the Institute to successfully complete all tasks, contributing to the building of a regular, modern Army.
