Mass mobilization work - an important political task

According to the 2025 training plan, the entire Que Vo town has 2,285 militia and self-defense soldiers participating in training. Right from the beginning of the season, the town's Military Command has directed communes and wards to develop training plans that are close to the actual situation, ensuring mobility, flexibility, and effectiveness. Contents such as shooting, team command, infantry techniques and tactics are implemented methodically and seriously.

Along with the training task, mass mobilization work is always identified as an important political task. Units all combine the activity "Mass mobilization work day" with the emulation program "Skilled mass mobilization", choosing specific tasks that are close to the people and in line with the people's wishes.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Manh Hung, Political Commissar of the Town Military Command, shared: “Our goal is not only to train soldiers to be solid in techniques and tactics, but also to cultivate their qualities and political courage. Through each practical action with the people, the militiamen clearly understand their role - both as soldiers and close friends of the people.”

In Bong Lai ward, where 94 soldiers are being trained, mass mobilization work is organized regularly and seriously. During this period, the militia force coordinated with mass organizations to present 10 gifts to households in difficult circumstances. During their journey to carry out mass mobilization work, the Bong Lai ward militia force (Que Vo town) visited and encouraged the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa - one of the households in particularly difficult circumstances in the area. As a single mother, Ms. Hoa is both a spiritual support and a caregiver for her only son - Mr. Nguyen The Toan, born in 1992, who is fighting a serious illness.

Ms. Hoa shared that the gift worth 1 million VND, although not large in material terms, was a sentiment and a heart from the militia and self-defense force of Bong Lai ward sent to her family; as a word of sympathy, giving her and her children more strength to overcome difficulties and illness.

During the 2025 training season, Mo Dao commune organized training for 98 militia and self-defense comrades, ensuring quality, safety and on schedule. At the same time, the Commune Military Command seriously implemented the "civil mobilization work day", linking training with practical actions. During this year's peak period of civil mobilization alone, Mo Dao commune presented 10 gifts, worth 500,000 VND each, to 6 meritorious people and 4 households with especially difficult circumstances in the area. Although the gifts were small, they were a practical sharing, contributing to further consolidating the strong people's hearts from the grassroots.

Skillful mass mobilization - the key to building a "people's hearts and minds"

In just the first 4 months of 2025, the entire militia and self-defense force of the town mobilized nearly 500 million VND from working days, socialized and internal sources to carry out mass mobilization activities. Of which, 100% of the grassroots units have the model of "Good mass mobilization unit", at least each commune and ward organizes 2 mass mobilization campaigns at the cluster or inter-commune level.

Notably, some creative models such as "Accompanying poor students", "Militia with green environment", "Meal of love", "A day as a child" (taking care of heroic Vietnamese mothers)... have created a ripple effect in the community.

Although not a permanent force, the militia is an “extended arm” of the local armed forces in military and defense missions. They are laborers, workers, farmers, cadres… who leave their daily jobs to go to the training ground, practice their bravery, and be ready to protect their homeland.

From small tasks, such as picking up trash on the roadside, helping the elderly clean the garden, patching up leaky roofs, etc., the Que Vo militia soldiers are gradually lighting up the faith in the hearts of the people. They bring the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers into life in a simple yet profound way, just as Uncle Ho taught: "Mass mobilization is very important. If mass mobilization is poor, everything will be poor. If mass mobilization is skillful, everything will be successful."

We left the Bong Lai training ground when the sun was setting. Under the eucalyptus trees, the drums of command resounded loudly. The boys and girls in green shirts were enthusiastically practicing, and after the training session, they spread out to the alleys, continuing another "battle" - silently and persistently - on the battlefield of the people's hearts.
