Most likely this is the new 2025 Ford Ranger Wildtrak V6 pickup truck - a more powerful version than the current Ranger versions in Southeast Asia. Compared to the Ford Ranger versions currently sold in Malaysia, the Wildtrak V6 version is identified by the characteristic LED daytime running strip on the headlight cluster. This version has adaptive matrix LED headlights, fog lights and LED taillights, side steps, sports bar, roof rack...
In addition, the new 2025 Ford Ranger Wildtrak V6 pickup truck also has a cargo bed with 12V and 230V power outlets, a lift-up and down support door, a V6 logo on the air vent, and 20-inch two-tone alloy wheels with 255/65 tires. Inside the cabin, the car has 8-way power driver and passenger seats covered in synthetic leather, dual-zone automatic air conditioning for the front seats, air vents for the rear seats, a 12.4-inch digital clock screen, and many amenities similar to the high-end versions. Powering this version is a 3.0L V6 turbocharged diesel engine that produces 250 horsepower at 3,250 rpm and 600 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted through a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The engine is mated to an electronically controlled four-wheel drive system with an active center differential and a locking rear differential. The vehicle offers six driving modes: Normal, Eco (rear-wheel drive only), Tow/Haul, Slippery, Mud/Ruts and Sand. In Thailand, this 2025 Ford Ranger Wildtrak V6 pickup truck model appeared at the 2024 Bangkok International Motor Show with an announced price from 1,519,000 baht (equivalent to about 1.22 billion VND). Currently, the Ford Ranger in Malaysia only has the option of a 2.0L EcoBlue four-cylinder diesel engine, either single-turbocharged (170 hp, 405 Nm) or twin-turbocharged (210 hp, 500 Nm), which is also the engine used for the Ranger Raptor diesel.
The addition of the V6 version promises to expand the options for customers looking for a high-performance pickup truck, competing directly with the strongest rivals in the segment. For the Vietnamese market, this Ford Ranger Wildtrak V6 model will be difficult to bring to our country because the 3.0L V6 engine is taxed more than the 2.0L Bi-Turbo, so the high price will be difficult for consumers to access.
