Kia EV3 electric car wins big at international auto show

Kia Corp. Chairman and CEO Song Ho Sung emphasized that this award affirms the Korean automaker's brand in providing sustainable, technologically advanced mobility solutions and exciting experiences for customers around the world.

The EV3 compact electric sports car (SUV) can travel up to 605 km on a single charge and charge from 10-80% in 31 minutes.

The awards were voted on by a committee of 96 automotive journalists from 30 countries.

According to information from Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors on March 6, as of the end of March, total sales of electric vehicles in Korea reached 502,036 units. Sales by brand were 291,608 vehicles of Hyundai (including Genesis) and 214,228 vehicles of Kia. Of the more than 500,000 electric vehicles sold by Hyundai and Kia, electric vehicles equipped with E-GMP, a dedicated electric vehicle platform, played an important role. As of March 2025, Hyundai and Kia had sold a total of 215,058 dedicated electric vehicles, including 83,555 Ioniq 5 vehicles, 64,491 EV6 vehicles, 26,446 Ioniq 6 vehicles and 18,569 EV3 vehicles./.
