Dr. Ho Minh Tuan proposed applying the transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVI) procedure using the Evolut™ FX Valve technology - one of the most advanced techniques today.

"The patient has a tortuous abdominal aortic structure that makes it difficult to bring the valve to the heart through the femoral artery. Using older generations of valves will increase the risk of complications. Therefore, we chose the latest generation of Evolut™ FX valves used in Vietnam - with a flexible design that can adapt to complex anatomy, helping to bring the valve into a safe and effective position," explained Dr. Ho Minh Tuan.

During the aortic valve replacement surgery for Ms. P., FV Hospital was also supported by the 3Mensio software application, which integrates the most modern AI to analyze CT images, helping doctors to evaluate the detailed access, size and position of the valve... After the procedure, Ms. P.'s shortness of breath improved significantly, and her heart function stabilized. Two days later, Ms. P. was discharged from the hospital in good health. "When I woke up after the procedure, I felt healthy and light as if I had just had a nap, with little pain or discomfort," Ms. P. happily shared. Ms. P. was even more reassured when Dr. Tuan told her that the new Evolut™ FX valve can operate stably for 15-20 years, with a valve replacement rate of only 1-2% after 20 years.
