Mr. Mori Kazuki, General Director of Lam Dong Tea Joint Stock Company, shared that he was very happy that Tea Summit 2025 had the participation of leading experts working at the forefront of many fields such as medicine, academia, diplomacy, tea industry, cultural research, art, finance... Mr. Hoang Vinh Long , Chairman of Vietnam Tea Association, shared in-depth values about the overall story of the tea industry, orientation and development of Vietnam tea industry, and affirmed that tea is a typical cultural feature of Vietnamese people.
Mr. Long informed that each year the world produces more than 7 million tons of tea. Of which, China accounts for nearly 50% of the world's tea production with 3.3 million tons, followed by India producing 1.3 million tons... Vietnam ranks 5th with more than 900,000 tons/year. The global market in 2024 will reach 17 billion USD/year, but up to 65% is consumed domestically.

According to Mr. Long, in 2024, Vietnam will export 160,000 tons of tea, but the value will be only 65% of the world price (average price of 1.6 USD/kg), lower than the domestic price. Vietnam's tea industry is mainly produced by smallholders, 60% of tea gardens belong to households, not produced in chains and does not have advanced processing technology.
Dr. Tran Ngo Phuc Quan, Director of Operations at Hue International General Hospital (a native of Bao Loc tea region), shares about the health and beauty values of tea in life. Tea is not only a drink but also a culture and health supplement. Tea has more than 4,000 active ingredients, which have effects on the cardiovascular system, natural antibacterial immunity, anti-aging skin..., so tea is the drink of the future.

On this occasion, the organizing committee of the 2025 International Tea Festival announced the world's tea-producing region in Vietnam and the history of Vietnamese tea civilization, along with book giveaways to interested readers.
At the forum, Dr. Tran Minh Hai, Vice Principal of the School of Public Policy and Rural Development (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) introduced the organic tea farming model, aiming to reduce emissions and green financial mechanisms for tea plants; at the same time, paying attention to tea varieties to improve production quality along with processing technology, packaging, and communication to promote the development of the tea industry.
