The "unequal" match between Dao Hong Son and Ha Van Hieu took place at Ngo Sai wrestling stadium (Quoc Oai, Hanoi ) in the first days of the new year At Ty 2025. This is a friendly and performance match that only takes place at traditional festivals because the two fighters practice different sports and have a huge difference in weight class.
Ha Van Hieu is the SEA Games champion in the 130 kg freestyle wrestling category. He is famous for his nickname "Giant Hieu" with a height of 1m92 and is a familiar face at traditional wrestling rings during New Year festivals in the North. Nearly 40 years old this year, Ha Van Hieu holds the record of 15 consecutive years of national championship and 4 times SEA Games champion.
Meanwhile, Dao Hong Son is 1m52 tall and competes in the 56kg weight class, which is less than half of his opponent's. The fighter nicknamed 'dwarf' specializes in ju-jitsu. Recently, Dao Hong Son competed in MMA (mixed martial arts) and was in the top 3 of the LION Championship.
