Panda Cup 2025 Ranking: U22 Vietnam at the bottom of the table - Graphics: AN BINH
On the evening of November 18, the final round of the Panda Cup 2025 international friendly tournament ended with the following results: U22 Vietnam lost to U22 Korea 0-1, U22 China drew U22 Uzbekistan 0-0.
This result helped U22 Korea finish the tournament as the top team with 6 points. Host U22 China accepted to be second in the group with 4 points, equal to U22 Uzbekistan but with a better goal difference (+1 compared to -1).
U22 Vietnam said goodbye to Panda Cup 2025 at the bottom of the table with only 3 points. However, this is an encouraging achievement for coach Dinh Hong Vinh's team.
Dinh Bac and his teammates had to face the continent's top opponents. U22 Vietnam started the tournament with a 1-0 victory over U22 China.
After that, the Vietnamese boys only lost narrowly to two strong teams, Uzbekistan and Korea, with the same score of 0-1.
However, this is a valuable opportunity for the whole team to practice right before the 33rd SEA Games. Only suffering minimal defeats against the above teams is a good sign for U22 in the upcoming regional conference.
According to the plan, the U22 Vietnam team will arrive in Hanoi tomorrow afternoon (November 19). The team will rest for a few days, before returning to practice in Ba Ria - Vung Tau (expected November 23) with coach Kim Sang Sik to prepare for the final stage.
The Vietnam U22 team is expected to arrive in Thailand on the morning of December 2 and then fly to Songkhla to prepare for two matches with Laos U22 (December 4) and Malaysia (December 11) there.
