Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses contributes to sustainable poverty reduction

TPO - Secretary of Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee - Nguyen Ho Hai assessed that the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses has helped many households stabilize their lives, settle down, and find work, contributing significantly to the cause of sustainable poverty reduction, building new rural areas, and civilized urban areas.

On July 23, Ca Mau province organized an announcement of the completion of the plan to respond to the emulation movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" in the province by 2025. Accordingly, up to now, Ca Mau province has built and repaired nearly 9,670 temporary and dilapidated houses, with a total cost of over 470 billion VND.

Families receiving new houses and house repairs during this period include people who contributed to the revolution, relatives of martyrs; poor and near-poor households; households under the national target program for socio -economic development in ethnic minority areas.

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee - Nguyen Ho Hai emphasized that the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses not only helps people in the province settle down, but also creates a foundation for the poor to find jobs, leaving no one behind. Thereby contributing to effectively implementing the goal of sustainable poverty reduction, building new rural areas, ensuring social security and maintaining national defense and security in the area.

The Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee praised the sense of responsibility of localities, businesses, philanthropists, and forces that directly participated in building and repairing houses for people to have new homes full of love. The completion of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses this time does not mean it will stop, this work will be carried out regularly and continuously.
