Phuc Son speeds up construction, finishes on schedule

With just over a month left until the end of 2025, many construction sites in Phuc Son commune are speeding up construction. The locality is making efforts to complete the workload and disburse public investment capital on schedule assigned by Hanoi city.

The sound of rollers resounds evenly, trucks carrying materials come and go continuously, construction teams rush to complete the remaining items...

Observing the construction site, Mr. Nguyen Anh Thai, a resident of Phu Van village, said that this road has been a long-awaited road for many years. “With such urgent construction, we hope that our people will be able to use the new road by Tet this year,” said Mr. Thai.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan (Binh Minh Construction and Environment Investment Joint Stock Company, the contractor of the project) affirmed that around December 20, the unit will complete the project, ahead of the investor's schedule to serve the people's travel. Mr. Tuan said that never before have contractors faced such difficulties as this year. Prolonged rain, the change of investor and strong fluctuations in construction material prices have all created great pressure on the construction unit. However, thanks to the close support of the Commune Infrastructure Investment Management Board in acceptance, advance payment and timely handling of arising issues, the construction site's progress is still kept as committed.

Similarly, the renovation and upgrading project of Thuong Lam Primary School was also bustling from early morning. Teacher Dinh Trong Khanh, Principal of Thuong Lam Primary School (the beneficiary unit and responsible for supervising the community of the project) highly appreciated the active coordination of the units in speeding up the progress and construction of the project. "The investor and contractor make a weekly construction schedule. If it is not achieved, overtime will be required to compensate for the volume...", teacher Dinh Trong Khanh informed.

Talking to reporters of Hanoi Moi Newspaper, Director of the Investment and Infrastructure Management Board of Phuc Son Commune, Le Xuan Nhiem, said that after its establishment, the commune received 73 projects from 5 communes and the old My Duc district. The volume of documents, status and procedures is very large, each project is at a different level of completion. The brothers often have to work overtime to handle the work, not letting the backlog of documents affect the implementation at the site.

After its establishment, Phuc Son commune must simultaneously carry out many tasks: perfecting the administrative apparatus, reviewing documents of transitional projects, receiving projects from the district level and handling site clearance problems to ensure overall progress. Along with that, the commune strictly implements the city's direction on completing 100% of public investment disbursement before January 31, 2026.

In response to the above request, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phuc Son Commune, Tran Xuan Hai, said that immediately after stabilizing the organization, the commune focused on reviewing the entire project, clearly assigning responsibilities to each department, maintaining regular meetings with the Investment - Infrastructure Management Board and construction units, and directly going to the grassroots to handle bottlenecks in terms of land and investment procedures. For projects transferred from the district level, the commune proactively worked with the city's departments and branches to speed up the adjustment of necessary legal contents, ensuring consistency and not slowing down progress.

Site clearance is considered key for many transport projects. The commune has established working groups to directly go to the locality to dialogue with the people, grasp and promptly resolve their requests, ensure legitimate rights and create consensus in the handover of the site.

With the drastic direction and synchronous implementation of solutions, Phuc Son commune is constructing 68 projects, preparing to start 5 projects, the total volume of public investment disbursement reached nearly 80%. Phuc Son commune People's Committee affirmed that it will complete 100% of the assigned capital plan, at the same time strictly control the quality of the project and construction progress.

With proactive management, coordination between investors and construction units and consensus from the people, Phuc Son can complete the disbursement target in 2025, contributing to improving infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life of local people.
