Recently, at 12:25 on June 14, Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 3, Traffic Police Department stopped and inspected truck with license plate 37B-183.51 driven by Nguyen Duy H, born in 1976, residing in Hoang Mai town, Nghe An province, for violating the act of using a hand-held phone while driving a vehicle while participating in traffic on the road, as prescribed in Point h, Clause 5, Article 6, Decree 168/2024/ND-CP. For the above act, driver Nguyen Duy H will be fined from 4 to 6 million VND and have 4 driving license points deducted.
Regarding the behavior of using phones on the highway, the Traffic Police Department assessed that this is an especially dangerous behavior because when using a phone, drivers will lose concentration, react slowly to unexpected situations; reduce the ability to observe and handle situations, this is also the cause of serious traffic accidents, especially at high speeds like on the highway. "Absolutely do not use the phone by hand while driving, especially on the highway; if you need to make emergency contact, stop the vehicle at the right place; equip support devices such as bluetooth headsets if needed; always concentrate when driving to ensure safety for yourself and others" - a representative of the Traffic Police Department recommended. In the coming time, the Traffic Police Department will continue to direct the Traffic Police force to resolutely handle violations that cause traffic accidents in the spirit of "Rule of law, no forbidden zones, no exceptions".
