The Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs said that every year on this occasion, the Association launches a message of gratitude and the results obtained each year are higher than the previous year. In 2024, the form of texting via phone is no longer suitable for the Regulations in Clause 3, Article 61 of the Telecommunications Law 2023, effective from July 1, 2024. Therefore, the form of support to show gratitude to martyrs through a charity App with the theme "Calling the names of the stars of the country" is implemented.

Although this form is not new to society, this is the first time the Association has coordinated with the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank to organize the implementation. At the end of the program in 2024, the total amount of donations exceeded 1.8 billion VND. The entire amount was used to support the construction of 20 gratitude houses; give 100 gifts; bring 20 martyrs' remains back to their hometowns and support DNA identification work, return the names of 7 martyrs and to date, all 7 martyrs' remains have been brought back to their beloved homeland.
“Launching this year’s program, the Association’s goal is to strive to raise 3 billion VND or more to support the construction of gratitude houses (each house costs 60 to 80 million VND), give gifts (2 million VND/gift) to relatives of martyrs and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, give savings books to martyrs’ families in difficult circumstances, and support the return of 50 to 60 martyrs’ remains to their homeland and DNA testing. Each contribution by text message will help reduce the number of wind graves, shorten the list of 530,000 unknown martyrs, increase the number of charity buses, eliminate dilapidated houses, and create more spacious places to worship martyrs,” said Lieutenant General Hoang Khanh Hung, Chairman of the Association for Supporting Families of Vietnamese Martyrs.
