Reaching the target market
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the number of Indian tourists to Da Nang city is growing rapidly. In the first 9 months of 2025, Da Nang welcomed more than 267 thousand visitors from India (double the same period), helping this market rise to the 3rd position among the international tourist markets to Da Nang.
With the characteristics of a “billion-people market”, the demand for overseas travel of Indian tourists is growing rapidly, and there is still a lot of room for growth. In particular, the demand for high-end weddings with very high spending levels from this market has emerged.
Seizing the opportunity, Da Nang has quickly connected direct flights to major cities in India; at the same time, organized promotional programs in this market. Thanks to that, Da Nang is the top choice in Vietnam for Indian guests when organizing high-class wedding parties.
According to Mr. Tan Van Vuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Da Nang is also the first locality in Vietnam to implement a pilot program to attract wedding tourists.
There are many attractive supports such as: Displaying welcome information on the LED screen at Da Nang International Airport, performing traditional art, giving flowers and souvenirs to the bride and groom, flycam filming package, honeymoon night, experiential cyclo tour...
The merger to create the new city of Da Nang further enhances the attraction of Da Nang for wedding tourism by integrating more destinations that are loved by Indian tourists such as Hoi An ancient town, My Son temple complex... In addition, it creates a chain of tourist areas with infrastructure that ensures standards for wedding tourism, mainly on the coastal strip of the city.
Promising destination
The Da Nang tourism industry has recently hosted a famtrip delegation of leading wedding organizers from India to survey Da Nang. Mr. Pradeep Chauhan, a member of the famtrip delegation, said that Da Nang offers an impressive combination of luxury resorts, beautiful beaches and warm hospitality - these are essential elements for Indian weddings.

“What stands out the most is the readiness of the hotels to adapt to our cultural needs, from traditional ceremonies, Indian cuisine to multi-day festivals. I believe that in the coming years, Da Nang has the potential to become one of the most attractive new destinations for Indian weddings,” said Mr. Pradeep Chauhan.
Mr. Murad Enver, Sales and Marketing Director of Inventum Global - the unit that coordinated with Da Nang to welcome the famtrip group, commented that Da Nang not only has a venue but also has a great advantage thanks to the diversity of cuisine serving Indian weddings. Thanks to the hotel kitchen team's knowledge of Indian cuisine and close cooperation relationships, guests always feel close to home.
Mr. Murad Enver informed that traditional Indian weddings often have a large number of guests with many consecutive ceremonies and a grand scale. Possessing a system of modern hotels and experienced local partners helps Da Nang have the capacity to meet these requirements. In particular, hotels located along the coast provide the perfect setting for typical Indian wedding ceremonies such as Mehndi, Sangeet, Baraat and the main wedding ceremony.
“In recent years, Da Nang has become one of the most prominent wedding destinations in Southeast Asia thanks to the strong development of its infrastructure system, international standard resorts, modern transportation network and natural beauty.
Large banquet halls, spacious outdoor spaces, beach resorts suitable for many styles of events, and outstanding service quality have helped the city stand out in the Indian market,” said Mr. Murad Enver.
