Yamaha JOG E 2025 launched - electric motorbike with battery swap priced at 26.8 million VND
Yamaha has just launched the all-new Jog-E, a small electric motorcycle that will go on sale on December 22, 2025, but only in the Tokyo and Osaka areas, Japan.

Yamaha JOG E 2025 is aimed at daily commuting needs on the street. At the same time, the vehicle participates in the "no license required" segment with power equivalent to a gasoline motorbike with an engine under 50cc. This means that it will suit the needs of many customers. In terms of appearance, the Yamaha JOG E 2025 has a compact overall appearance, impressing with the hexagonal headlight cluster mounted on the front of the vehicle, with neatly separated turn signals on both sides. This design helps the headlight light to follow the steering direction, creating convenience and safety for the driver.
The front of the car has also been redesigned, giving it the feel of a traditional gasoline scooter. The car has overall dimensions of 1795 mm long, 680 mm wide, 1140 mm high, a wheelbase of 1300 mm, a ground clearance of 135 mm and a seat height of 740 mm, thus suitable for the physique of Asian users. Yamaha's electric motorbike model is also equipped with a fully digital instrument cluster that displays full vehicle parameters to help the driver better grasp the vehicle's condition. The Yamaha JOG E still uses a traditional physical lock, which also has a trunk opening function. The tires are 90/90-12 in the front and 100/90-10 in the rear, with disc brakes in the front and drum brakes in the rear.
In particular, this small electric motorbike model from Yamaha also integrates many conveniences with two storage compartments at the front of the vehicle, along with a convenient charging port. The vehicle also has a convenient storage compartment under the trunk when carrying things. In terms of power, the Yamaha JOG E is equipped with an inhub type AC Synchronous electric motor, with a maximum capacity of 1.7 kW at 540 rpm and a maximum torque of 90 Nm at 25 rpm. The vehicle reaches a maximum speed of 30 km/h and is equipped with a removable battery with a range of 53 km/charge. The advantage is that users can use the battery exchange service at the station to increase the travel distance almost unlimited.
The selling price of the Yamaha Jog-E is 159,500 Yen excluding battery and charger (equivalent to 26.83 million VND). Currently, this electric motorbike model is only sold in the Tokyo and Osaka areas, Japan. Although considered the successor to the previous gasoline mini-scooter Jog, the Yamaha Jog-E is essentially a Honda Icon e: with a redesigned front and front end for the Japanese domestic market.
