(CPV) – On the morning of October 27, due to the influence of storm No. 6 (TRAMI), in the areas of Con Co island, Cu Lao Cham, Da Nang bay, and the coast of Thua Thien - Hue, there were winds of level 8, level 9, gusting to level 11. Localities issued notices asking people to stay away from the streets.
*In Thua Thien - Hue province, in response to the developments of storm No. 6, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue (PCTT&TKCN) of Thua Thien - Hue province has issued a notice requesting people to stay off the streets from 7:00 a.m. on October 27 (except for those on duty and in special cases) until further notice.
Units, localities and people regularly monitor and update storm developments on mass media (Hue-S, Facebook, website of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control, Provincial Hydrometeorological Station), and hotline 19001075 for support.

Currently, due to the influence of storm No. 6 circulation in Thua Thien - Hue province, there are strong winds of level 8, gusting to level 9. Rainfall from 7:00 p.m. on October 26 to 6:00 a.m. on October 27 in the province is generally 100-150mm, some places are higher such as: Bach Ma 268mm, Nam Dong 144mm, causing risks to people's lives and property.
The Hue Monuments Conservation Center also announced the temporary suspension of visitors to sites in the Hue Monuments Complex. Accordingly, due to the impact of storm No. 6, to ensure the safety of visitors and residents, this morning, relic sites in Hue will be temporarily closed and stop receiving visitors until further notice.
*In Da Nang, to proactively respond to storms and heavy rains, the Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee requested heads of armed forces units, departments, branches, and sectors, chairmen of district and commune People's Committees, and related units to strictly implement Official Dispatch No. 04/CD-UBND dated October 25, 2024 of the Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee on responding to storm No. 6; at the same time, note the high risk of heavy rain causing flooding in urban and low-lying areas.
Chairmen of People's Committees of districts and towns under their management; heads of departments, branches and sectors according to their functions and duties are responsible to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City in the work of preventing, responding to and overcoming the consequences of storm No. 6.
Chairmen of People's Committees of districts and towns regularly and closely monitor the developments of storm No. 6 and floods; immediately deploy plans to evacuate people living in rented houses, temporary houses, non-permanent houses, areas at risk of landslides, flash floods, and storm-induced sea level rise to safe places, with priority given to evacuating areas at high risk of heavy rain, flooding, flash floods, and landslides.
At the same time, people (except for those on duty) are requested to limit leaving their homes starting from 10:00 a.m. on October 27.
The People's Committees of coastal districts notify and request vehicle owners to anchor their boats in the designated places; organize towing of small-capacity boats ashore, to be completed before 10:00 a.m. on October 27.
Also this morning, Da Nang City said that the city's functional forces had evacuated 1,677 households, with 6,205 people living in motels, temporary houses, non-permanent houses, and areas at risk of landslides and flash floods to safety.
*In Quang Nam , from early this morning, in the Cu Lao Cham area, Hoi An City, there were strong gusts of wind and rising sea levels due to the storm.
The Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Quang Nam province said that so far, the province has evacuated 4,412 households with 18,306 people in 10 localities including: Duy Xuyen, Phuoc Son, Tay Giang, Dai Loc, Hiep Duc, Tam Ky, Tien Phuoc, Hoi An, Nam Tra My, Phu Ninh. Localities are implementing evacuation and relocation of people out of dangerous areas.
Currently, the Quang Nam Provincial Border Guard Command is also coordinating with localities to evacuate 210 households/836 people in 3 communes of Tr'hy, Gary and Ch'Om of Tay Giang district at risk of landslides to safe places according to local plans.
According to quick report No. 11/BC-BCHPTDS-PCTT dated October 27, 2024 of the Provincial Border Guard Command, boats of Quang Nam province have returned to shore and moved out of the danger zone of storm No. 6./.
