(People's life) - More than 9,500 poor and near-poor households in poor districts of Thanh Hoa province under the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction will receive support to repair and build houses.
On October 23, information from the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province said that Mr. Dau Thanh Tung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province, recently signed Decision No. 4191/QD-UBND, approving the adjustment of the Housing Support Project for poor and near-poor households in poor districts of Thanh Hoa province under the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021-2025 issued by the Provincial People's Committee with Decision No. 2079/QD-UBND dated June 15, 2023.
According to the approved Decision, the total number of poor and near-poor households eligible for support to build new or repair houses is 9,509 households.
Including: 6,720 ethnic minority households; 8 households with members who have contributed to the revolution; 195 households with members who are social protection beneficiaries; 63 households with especially difficult circumstances (elderly, single, disabled); 39 households in areas frequently affected by natural disasters; the remaining number of poor and near-poor households eligible for support is 2,484 households.
The number of households requesting support for building new houses is 5,206 households, the number of households requesting support for repairing houses is 4,303 households.
Regarding implementation progress, in 2023, support will be provided to about 45% of subjects; in 2024, support will be provided to about 21.2% of subjects; in 2025, support will be provided to about 33.8% of subjects.
The total central budget capital to implement the project is 294.3 billion VND, the rest is local budget capital and socialized sources. In which, poor and near-poor households will be considered for additional support from the Program of the Campaign to support housing construction for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in the province in the 2 years 2024-2025.
Other contents remain unchanged according to Decision No. 2079/QD-UBND dated June 15, 2023 of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province on approving the project on Housing Support for poor and near-poor households in poor districts of Thanh Hoa province under the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021-2025.
