1,000 delegates attend the Ho Chi Minh City Patriotic Emulation Congress

The 1st Ho Chi Minh City Patriotic Emulation Congress will take place on October 24, with the participation of about 1,000 delegates; to honor typical advanced examples and propose emulation directions for the new period.

On the afternoon of October 16, at a press conference providing information on socio -economic issues in the area, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs announced that the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Patriotic Emulation Congress, period 2025 - 2030, will be held on the morning of October 24, 2025 at the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials (Binh Thanh Ward).

The Congress was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, with the theme "Solidarity, innovation, creativity, emulation to build a pioneering Ho Chi Minh City, together with the whole country entering a new era".

According to Ms. Chau Minh Hien, Head of the Emulation and Rewards Committee (Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs), the Ho Chi Minh City Patriotic Emulation Congress aims to evaluate the results of patriotic emulation movements in implementing the goals and tasks of economic, cultural, social, defense and security development of Ho Chi Minh City.

Thereby, setting out directions and tasks to continue promoting the emulation movement and improving the effectiveness of reward work in the period 2025 - 2030.

The Congress is an opportunity to commend and reward heroic collectives and individuals, emulation fighters nationwide; typical advanced examples of all levels, sectors, fields, economic sectors and people of all classes and ethnicities in Ho Chi Minh City.

The event aims to promote the tradition of patriotism, dynamism, creativity, hard work, and belief in the Party's innovation cause.

At the same time, arouse and encourage the strength of national solidarity, promote internal strength, create new momentum for the successful implementation of economic, cultural, social, defense, security development tasks and the 5-year plan 2025 - 2030 of Ho Chi Minh City.

The Congress is expected to have about 1,000 delegates attending, including 75 guest delegates who are leaders and former leaders of Ho Chi Minh City through the periods, representatives of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the Armed Forces during the resistance period, and representatives of the Emulation Clusters of 6 centrally-run cities.

In addition, there are 325 ex-officio delegates and 600 typical advanced delegates, good people, good deeds in the 2020 - 2025 period.

At the congress, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee will award certificates of merit to individuals, collectives, and households in various fields and patriotic emulation movements of Ho Chi Minh City with outstanding achievements in the period 2021 - 2025.

In addition, Ho Chi Minh City will also honor 70 typical advanced models in emulation movements.
