Officially opening the registration portal from October 27, after more than 3 weeks, Vietnam's largest artificial intelligence arena Zalo AI Challenge 2025 has attracted 1,060 teams.
Not only attracting university students from North to South, Zalo AI Challenge 2025 also has the participation of many high school students, wishing to test themselves with interesting and practical AI problems.

Participating in the Zalo AI Challenge 2025 is a good opportunity for students to apply the knowledge they have learned to real AI problems. In the context of the AI industry flourishing in many universities across the country, the Zalo AI Challenge is a complementary "piece" to help improve the capacity of students, ensuring that the knowledge learned in school is suitable for the actual needs of the AI industry in the labor market.
As an annual artificial intelligence arena organized by Zalo, Zalo AI Challenge 2025 gives young people with a passion for technology the opportunity to solve practical AI problems.
This year, contestants participating in Zalo AI Challenge 2025 can choose one of two exam topics with topics revolving around drones and traffic safety.

With the topic “AeroEyes - Finding and Rescuing with AI-Powered Drones”, the teams will build an algorithm to control the drone to perform a specific task in a real-world environment from images recorded by the drone, simulating a real -world search and rescue mission. Meanwhile, the challenge “RoadBuddy - Understanding the Road through Dashcam AI” aims to build a driving assistant capable of understanding video content from a dashcam to quickly answer questions related to traffic signs, signals and driving instructions.
With the theme “AI as an efficient partner”, Zalo AI Challenge 2025 has a total prize value of up to 12,000 USD . The competition is accompanied by Realtime Robotics Joint Stock Company, media partner Znews and sponsor LEADTEK Vietnam.
Dr. Chau Thanh Duc, Deputy Organizing Committee, Director of Research & Development at Zalo AI, shared: “Zalo AI Challenge is organized to introduce to the Vietnamese AI community the latest trends in the world through highly applicable and practical problems. The competition is not only a playground for young people to challenge themselves, but also a place to connect AI enthusiasts, together promoting cooperation and developing the Vietnamese AI community.”
As a member of the Advisory Board of Zalo AI Challenge 2025, Dr. Tran Minh Quan - Senior Technology Development Expert, NVIDIA, affirmed: “Zalo AI Challenge is practical, new, gradually escaping the color of other competitions that focus heavily on understanding data but less on performance or systems. In particular, this year, for the first time, the competition deployed the challenge on drone hardware infrastructure, applying AI to a familiar and urgent problem in reality, bringing an interesting and meaningful experience to the participating teams”.

The competition officially opens for registration on October 27 and the deadline for submission of round 1 papers ends on November 20. The winning teams will be awarded at the Zalo AI Summit event scheduled to take place in December 2025.
