Following the implementation of the Law on Receiving Citizens' Petitions, the Que Son District Party Committee and People's Committee have strengthened leadership and guidance to agencies, units, and localities to effectively carry out the work of receiving citizens' petitions, along with receiving and resolving complaints and denunciations from the people.
From the district level to the commune level, designated locations for receiving citizens have been set up, with assigned officials in charge. The Chairman of the District People's Committee and the Standing Committee of the District People's Council consistently maintain a regular schedule for receiving citizens, always listening to the concerns and aspirations of the people and actively resolving complaints and denunciations.
Over the past 10 years, the entire district has received 2,059 visits from 2,108 citizens. Of these, the Chairman of the District People's Committee alone received 143 visits from 157 people; and the chairmen of the People's Committees of communes and towns received 388 visits from 394 people.
The People's Committee of Que Son district and its communes and towns received 1,134 complaints, denunciations, and petitions (320 at the district level and 814 at the commune level). Of these, 432 out of 432 complaints within their jurisdiction have been resolved (100%).
The situation regarding citizen complaints and petitions arising in the district mainly relates to resolving rights and interests in the areas of land acquisition, compensation, resettlement support, environmental issues, social welfare policies, etc.
At the conference, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Que Son district presented certificates of commendation to 5 collectives and 8 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the 10 years of implementing the Law on Receiving Citizens' Complaints.
