According to information from famous leaker UniverseIce on social network X, a truck carrying a huge shipment of Galaxy devices was stolen near Heathrow Airport, London, UK. The shipment is said to include thousands of newly launched Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 foldable phones.
“A truck carrying Samsung’s latest foldable phone, the Galaxy Z7, was stolen near London’s Heathrow Airport. An estimated 12,000 Galaxy Z Flip7 and Z Fold7 devices were lost, causing economic losses of up to $10.6 million ,” leaker UniverseIce posted on his personal Twitter.
The shipment was stolen after being transported from the airport to a warehouse, according to South Korean news agency Yonhap News . The total value of the shipment is estimated at 13.3 billion won (about $9.6 million ). Despite the huge damage, the source said Samsung had insured the entire shipment, so the company will not suffer significant financial losses.

Inside the stolen truck was a huge shipment of electronics, including 5,000 Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 phones and 5,000 Galaxy Watch 8 smartwatches. The shipment also contained several older models such as the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy A16 series.
British police immediately launched an investigation and are believed to have recovered the stolen containers. Samsung is also said to have worked closely with authorities to track down the truck. In addition, the company may have sent out a code to block all of the phones, preventing them from being activated or sold on the illegal "black market".
This incident happened just a few days after two foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7, officially went on sale in the UK on July 25.
While the theft poses a challenge for Samsung to manage and handle, it also shows the initial strong appeal of this product line. Previously, the company announced that the Galaxy Z7 series had broken pre-order records in key markets such as India, the US and South Korea.
