12,000 athletes participate in VPBank Dat Sen Hong Music Marathon 2025

(NLDO) - 12,000 athletes will participate in the annual marathon in Dong Thap, the most exciting music - sports - tourism festival in the Southwest, this coming October.

The VPBank Dat Sen Hong Music Marathon 2025 - scheduled to take place from October 10 to 12 at Van Mieu Square, Cao Lanh, Dong Thap - is the largest sports running event in the Southwest region, organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Thap province in coordination with Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank (VPBank) and Nexus Media Joint Stock Company.

With the theme "Pioneer - Breakthrough", the event is expected to attract about 12,000 domestic and international athletes to participate. The tournament includes four distances: 42km, 21km, 10km and 5km, suitable for both professional athletes, amateur runners, clubs, running groups; students; families and children.

The race route will take athletes through typical landmarks, bearing the cultural imprint and characteristic landscape of the lotus land of Dong Thap , such as Van Mieu Square - the heart of Cao Lanh city, the majestic Cao Lanh bridge across the Tien River, tree-lined roads, and vibrant central streets with the colors of the West.

The total prize value this year is up to 218,000,000 VND, in which the prize level by age group has also been significantly increased to encourage diverse participation from all ages and create more motivation to conquer the race track.
