Truc Ninh and Xuan Truong districts (Nam Dinh province) meet advanced new rural standards

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the People's Committee of Nam Dinh province to be responsible for announcing and rewarding according to regulations; directed the People's Committees of Truc Ninh and Xuan Truong districts to continue maintaining and improving the quality of criteria, focusing on economic and environmental criteria to ensure sustainability in new rural construction.

After 7 years of implementing the advanced new rural area (NTM) construction program, Truc Ninh district, Nam Dinh province has mobilized the participation of the entire political system with high determination, making a strong change in the awareness of cadres, party members and people in the whole district. Up to now, the district has 10/18 communes meeting the advanced NTM standards, of which 6 communes have met the model NTM standards; 3/3 towns have met the civilized urban standards. In the district, there are 46 OCOP products ranked 3 stars or higher. The district has 9/9 criteria meeting the standards according to the set of criteria for advanced NTM districts, period 2021-2025.

Xuan Truong District, Nam Dinh Province was recognized by the Prime Minister as meeting the NTM standards in 2017. Before September 1, 2024, Xuan Truong District had 20 administrative units, after the merger there were 14 administrative units including 13 communes and 1 town. By the end of February 2025, the whole district had 13/13 communes recognized as meeting the NTM standards, reaching a rate of 100%; 8/13 communes meeting the advanced NTM standards according to the set of criteria for the period 2021-2025, reaching a rate of 61.5%; 7/13 communes meeting the model NTM standards according to the set of criteria for the period 2021-2025, reaching a rate of 53.8%; Xuan Truong town meeting the civilized urban standards. The OCOP program has been strongly implemented and has a strong spread. People's lives have been improved, the average income of people in rural areas has increased sharply, reaching 11 million VND/person in 2010, reaching over 84.33 million VND/person in 2024. The poverty rate has decreased rapidly from 2.88% in 2017 to 0.7% in 2024. The rate of trained workers in 2024 of the whole district reached 87.73%... The district meets all 9/9 criteria according to the set of criteria for advanced new rural districts in the period 2021-2025; improving the material and spiritual life of the people so that they can enjoy the values ​​brought by the new rural construction program.
