The Golf Tournament for Traffic Safety is an annual sports event organized by Giao Thong Newspaper, with Hyundai Thanh Cong Automobile Joint Venture as the diamond sponsor.

In 2013, Giao thong Newspaper launched the Joining Hands for Traffic Safety Program. Since the launch of the Program, Giao thong Newspaper has organized hundreds of charity projects, awarded thousands of gifts and scholarships, built many charity houses and rural traffic bridges with a total value of tens of billions of VND.

In late 2023 and early 2024, the Joining Hands for Traffic Safety Program sponsored 1 billion VND to build a spillway in Cham Pong village, Ngoc Chien commune, Muong La district, Son La province.

Following the success of the fundraising golf tournament for the "Joining Hands for Traffic Safety" program over the past four seasons, Giao thong Newspaper organizes the 5th annual charity golf tournament in 2024 at Hoang Gia Golf Course, Ninh Binh . All sponsorship and support money from organizations, individuals, businesses and golfers after deducting expenses will be transferred by the Organizing Committee to the "Joining Hands for Traffic Safety" program.

This year's tournament is expected to gather about 220 golfers divided into 3 groups, competing in 18-hole stroke play, according to R&A rules and the course's own rules recorded on the scorecard or the course's notice board. Points are calculated according to HDC day (System 36).

The total prize value is estimated at nearly 3 billion VND. Of which, the most notable are the 2 HIO prizes including two Hyundai Santafe and Hyundai Tucson cars. In addition, the 4 HIO prizes are a golf trip to Japan worth 100 million VND or 2 HIO prizes of 100 million VND in cash, which are also very attractive.

After competing in 18 holes of golf, the next highlight of the program will be the Award Ceremony for the participants to interact, share joy, and find new cooperation opportunities. Also at the Award Ceremony, players will have the opportunity to draw dozens of attractive Lacky Draw gifts.

Sharing with the media, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Nga, Editor-in-Chief of Giao Thong Newspaper, said that in the current difficult context of press agencies, to organize charity programs such as the Golf Tournament Joining Hands for Traffic Safety or the Run for Traffic Safety requires a lot of resources. Giao Thong Newspaper is fortunate to have the support of the main sponsor, Hyundai Thanh Cong Automobile Joint Venture, and other sponsors.

For social responsibility, Giao thong Newspaper determined that no matter how difficult it is, it must be done and ensure the most transparency. All money raised from sponsors and benefactors is statistically recorded, after deducting very small expenses, it will be contributed to the Fund for Joining Hands for Traffic Safety. Through channels such as units such as the National Traffic Safety Committee, local Traffic Safety Committee, Commune People's Committee, local reporters writing articles calling for victims, Giao thong Newspaper will allocate the Fund to support the families of victims, so that the right people, the right work.
