On the morning of December 15th, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha chaired a meeting to hear reports on the preparations for organizing the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies of large-scale and significant projects and works on December 19th - National Resistance Day, in order to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the need for a thorough review of the list and percentage of projects that have been started and completed, including the number of projects from the private sector, ensuring representativeness, symbolic significance, and substantive meaning.
The Ministry of Construction , other ministries, sectors, and localities are responsible for ensuring that projects fully meet the conditions and criteria, avoiding problems arising after the inauguration ceremony.

According to a report by the Ministry of Construction, as of December 14th, the Ministry had compiled a list of 237 projects and works from ministries, sectors, localities, corporations, and general companies in 34 provinces/cities that meet the conditions for commencement and inauguration.
This includes 151 projects and works that commenced construction; and 86 projects and works that were inaugurated and opened to traffic. The total investment for these projects and works is over 3.4 million billion VND (State capital is over 627,000 billion VND, and other sources of capital are over 2.79 million billion VND).
The Ministry of Construction proposed organizing 79 connection points (corresponding to the 79th anniversary of the National Resistance Day), including: 1 central connection point, 11 live connection points, and 67 online connection points.
Regarding emulation and commendation work, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Cao Huy said that the Ministry has compiled 59 cases proposed for commendation, including 28 collectives and 31 individuals, to be awarded Labor Orders of various classes and 48 Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that emulation and reward activities must be harmonious, structured, balanced, accurately reflect reality, and demonstrate the momentum in implementing projects.
According to government leaders, awards must be given to the right people for the right work, linked to specific projects, initiatives, and actual results.
At the meeting, representatives from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai province, and the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) provided detailed reports on the conditions, progress, and preparations for organizing the event at various projects in their respective areas.

Concluding the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister requested that ministries and agencies urgently finalize the script and plan for organizing the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies, linking them to the political significance of December 19th - National Resistance Day, ensuring that this is clearly reflected in the name and content of the program.
The Deputy Prime Minister approved the plan to organize 79 connection points corresponding to the 79th anniversary of the National Resistance Day, including 5 direct connection points with interaction, 7 direct connection points with video links during the ceremony, and online connection points.
Emphasizing the technical, infrastructure, and network requirements, the Deputy Prime Minister requested that relevant agencies such as Viettel and VNPT ensure that no incidents occur that could affect the ceremony.
Regarding the central venue, the Deputy Prime Minister instructed Hanoi City to urgently report by December 15th on its ability to fully meet the criteria for projects to be launched in the area, as a basis for consideration and selection, ensuring the scale, significance, and success of the event.
Regarding emulation and reward activities, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that the scope of rewards should focus on socio-economic infrastructure projects, security and defense, not only in the transportation sector but also including energy, health, education, culture, and sports…
Ministries, sectors, and localities shall, based on the list of proposed projects, select and nominate outstanding collectives and individuals, including management agencies, state-owned enterprises, private enterprises, and workers directly involved, ensuring that the nominations are appropriate, meet the criteria, and that all procedures are followed as prescribed.
"Each proposed project should be linked to representative organizations and individuals so that they can be recognized and rewarded promptly," the Deputy Prime Minister requested.
