28 teams participating in the 2023 National U19 Football Championship

According to the draw results, the defending champion U19 Hanoi and the defending runner-up Viettel will be in the same group A; the remaining 3 teams in group A are: Hanoi Police, Hai Phong, Dong A Thanh Hoa and Quang Ngai.

Organizing committee draws lots to divide the groups

In Group B, host PVF is in the same group with U19 teams including: Hue, Nam Dinh, SHB Da Nang, Song Lam Nghe An. In Group C, HAGL is in the same group with Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Kon Tum, Lam Dong, Phu Yen. In Group D, Binh Phuoc will be in the same group with B.Binh Duong, Binh Thuan, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City. In Group E, Tien Giang will face An Giang, Can Tho, Dong Thap and Long An.

According to the format, the teams compete in a round-robin format (home and away) in the host locality. Ranking points are calculated in each Group. The 5 first-placed teams, 5 second-placed teams and 1 third-placed team with the best results in the 5 groups will enter the Final Round. If the host team of the Final Round finishes the Qualifying Round with a position in the group of 11 (eleven) teams with the best results in the 5 groups, then the third-placed team with the next best results will qualify for the Final Round.

The tournament tables

The team that wins the highest position will receive the Championship Cup, Gold Medal and a prize of 100 million VND, the second-place team will receive a Silver Medal and a prize of 80 million VND; the two third-place teams will receive a Bronze Medal and a prize of 50 million VND/team, in addition to awards for the style team and individual awards.
