The conservation of Hue Monuments is now moving into a phase of stability and sustainable development.

This is the 410th heritage in the List and the first world heritage of Vietnam to be honored. Up to now, Thua Thien Hue is the only province in Vietnam as well as in Southeast Asia with 7 heritages recognized by UNESCO, including 5 heritages of Hue (Complex of Hue Monuments (1993 - Tangible heritage), Nha Nhac - Vietnamese Royal Court Music (2003 - Intangible heritage), Nguyen Dynasty Woodblocks (2009 - Documentary heritage), Nguyen Dynasty Royal Records (2014 - Documentary heritage), Poetry on Hue Royal Architecture (2016 - Documentary heritage). Two heritages shared with other localities are the art of Bài Chòi in Central Vietnam and the practice of worshipping the Mother Goddesses of the Three Realms of the Vietnamese people.

Over the past 30 years, with the attention of the Party, State, Government , central and local departments, ministries and branches, and the active support of UNESCO and the international community, the conservation of the Hue Monuments Complex has been implemented and achieved many proud results. According to UNESCO's assessment, the conservation of the Hue Monuments Complex is currently moving into a phase of stability and sustainable development.

The recognition of the Complex of Hue Monuments as a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO and 10 years later, the Royal Court Music of Vietnam has paved the way for Vietnamese cultural heritages to gradually integrate deeply into the region and the world. Hue Heritage is also a unique cultural diplomacy channel, an extremely important bridge in promoting diplomatic relations, friendly cooperation, and enhancing mutual understanding between Vietnam and international friends.
