The project is implemented through the website platform “Vietnamese Heroic Mothers” built by the Center for Geographic Information System Application (Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City) since January 2020. This is a digital archive with profound humanistic values, contributing to preserving and spreading touching stories about the noble sacrifices of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers from the South to the North.
More than 3,000 portraits in the project were made by artist Dang Ai Viet over many years of traveling across the S-shaped strip of land, from 2010 to present. Each painting is not only a work of art but also associated with a real-life story, a unique situation, which is introduced in detail on the website.

Not simply an information site, this platform is expected to become a useful storage and educational tool, contributing to nurturing love for the homeland, country and national pride in generations of Vietnamese people.
According to artist Dang Ai Viet, digitizing the paintings is a way to realize her dream, to preserve sacred values that go beyond the limits of drawing paper. This is also a gift she sends to the younger generation, helping to record the merits of those who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and the Department of Science and Technology will organize an exchange program with artist Dang Ai Viet, and introduce the website "Portrait of Heroic Vietnamese Mothers" - https://chandungme.vn/ at the Southern Women's Museum.
