At the national online conference on May 7 on strengthening inspection of compliance with legal regulations on pharmaceuticals and food safety, Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen, Permanent Deputy Minister of Health, proposed that the People's Committees of provinces and cities launch a peak period to prevent and combat counterfeit drugs and fake functional foods in May.

Implementing the direction, the Provincial Department of Health has established 2 inspection teams to inspect compliance with legal regulations in the trading of drugs, cosmetics, and food at pharmacies, drug stores, and food businesses in the province; taking samples for quality testing (if any).

The test period is from May 9, 2025 to May 31, 2025.

During the inspection, the delegation will handle and recommend handling of violations of the law; report the inspection results and propose to the leaders of the Department of Health measures to strengthen and improve the effectiveness of state management in the health sector in the province.
