"Lagom emphasizes the importance of creating a balanced environment and that is why it is becoming increasingly popular in modern design. In other words, Lagom promotes creating a sense of familiarity in the home, creating peaceful corners, not aiming for perfection but just keeping objects that have real meaning to the homeowner," she further explains.

When incorporating Lagom into a home design, you should have an idea of what you want to remove and what you want to change to make the space your own.
“My advice is to carefully choose which items and design elements to include in the home, trying to create a balance to create a relaxing and peaceful environment,” says Dominique Bonet.
Choose natural ingredients
Lagom interior design is becoming increasingly popular with the rise of fast-fashion, low-quality fast-fashion furniture avoidance and a demand for sustainable fabrics and woods.

"To understand the habits and needs of customers before starting each project, I have to meet and talk with them many times. I advise you not to take on too many unnecessary interior decoration elements," Dominique Bonet shared.
However, this doesn't mean that all home decor is "banished" in the Lagom interior style. Focusing on the "not too little" part of Lagom is just as important as the "not too much" part.
