40 students in Lao Cai hospitalized for vomiting and diarrhea

On the morning of October 10, speaking with Dan Tri reporters, the leader of Lao Cai City People's Committee said that on October 9, at Lao Cai College, about 40 students had to be hospitalized after experiencing symptoms of stomachache, diarrhea, and vomiting.

After receiving the information, the school and parents took the children to Hung Thinh General Hospital (Lao Cai City) for treatment.

The leaders of Hung Thinh General Hospital said that the children had symptoms of digestive disorders. Patients were admitted to the hospital with vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, and are being treated mainly in the Internal Medicine Department; some patients with additional symptoms of fever are being monitored and treated in the Emergency Resuscitation Department.

Lao Cai City leaders informed that the children's current condition is stable, with no serious developments.

Authorities are taking samples for testing and assessing the cause of the incident.
