Taking advantage of the September 2nd holiday, families and groups of friends can choose to camp and participate in many experiential activities right on the outskirts of Hanoi if they are afraid of going far.

Below are 5 large lakes with fresh air and lush green nature, located just outside Hanoi, suitable for fun and camping during the September 2nd holiday.

Ham Lon Lake

Ham Lon Lake, also known as Suoi Bau Lake, is located at the foot of Ham Lon Mountain, in Soc Son District. This location is about 40km from the center of Hanoi, taking about 1 hour to travel.

This place has an open space, vast green pine forests, extremely suitable for a day or overnight camping. The campsite by Ham Lon Lake has a rental service, including stoves, grills, charcoal tongs, large tarps to spread on the ground, charcoal, drinks, snacks, ice cream, ice... at affordable prices. Camping costs 30,000 VND/person, and locals will help visitors clean up the campsite after they leave.

Here, visitors can freely camp, light a fire to grill meat, try many outdoor activities such as mountain climbing, kayaking on the lake, the boat rental fee is 200,000 VND/hour. The lake area by the pine forest has shallow sections, suitable for swimming, but visitors should rent additional buoys to ensure safety.

Tien Sa Lake

Tien Sa Lake tourist area is nestled at the foot of Tan Mountain, in Tan Linh Commune, Ba Vi District, nearly 50km from the center of Hanoi. The entire tourist area is 150ha wide, located at an altitude of over 60m, surrounded by Ba Vi Mountain Range and deep green forests. Here, the air is always fresh and cool, the natural scenery is charming.

Coming here to relax, visitors will be able to participate in exciting recreational activities in the sports area, water park, land playground, fishing, cycling...

In addition, the architectural works with strong Asian characteristics and many good meanings such as Uyen Uong tower, Ngu Phuc gate, Lien Hoa tower, Nhi Long waterfall, Thuan Thien bridge will be great virtual living coordinates. Visitors will need a small fee to visit and experience interesting activities here.

Dong Mo Lake

Dong Mo tourist area belongs to the Vietnam Ethnic Culture Village tourist complex, located on the border between Son Tay town and Ba Vi (Hanoi), about 40 km from Hanoi capital. This tourist area has a lake of more than 200 hectares with Phuong island resort located right in the middle of the lake.

Coming to Dong Mo, visitors can experience paid relaxation activities such as: fishing, cruising on the lake, catching chickens, digging bamboo shoots, kayaking, grass sliding, camping... all very interesting. The best time to visit the lake is in summer and autumn.

Dong Mo tourist area has a number of facilities providing camping services by the lake. Depending on the needs of visitors (buying entrance tickets, renting tents, grills, food, sleeping bags...) prices will vary.

Quan Son Lake

Quan Son tourist area is a complex of lakes, mountains and forests, located in My Duc district, about 50 km from the center of Hanoi. With a total area of ​​up to 850 hectares, the whole area has about 20 large and small vertical limestone mountains, surrounded by lakes and rich vegetation.

Quan Son Lake is known as "Ha Long on land", so rowing a boat to see the scenery is an activity that you should not miss when coming here. The small boat will take you gliding on the calm lake, admiring the wild and majestic mountains, then Su Tu Island, Voi Phuc Hill...

In addition, visitors can fish, climb mountains, swim in the lake, visit caves, admire stalactites of many shapes, camp by the lake... Around the tourist area there are famous caves and ancient pagodas such as Ban Long Tu, Linh Son Tu, Ham Long, Ngoc Linh Tu, Thung Phat... 1km away is the Mac Dynasty Citadel relic.

If you want to find a camping area, visitors can take a boat to the island in the middle of the lake or sit directly on the edge of the lake, which is also very airy. One thing to note is that Quan Son Lake camping service is not yet strongly developed, so before coming here, visitors should prepare the necessary items. However, because there is no large road for cars to enter, visitors will have to carry their belongings quite a distance.

Suoi Hai Lake

Suoi Hai Lake, located at the foot of Ba Vi Mountain, is an artificial freshwater lake in Cam Linh Commune, Ba Vi, about 60km from the center of Hanoi. The lake is formed from a system of main and auxiliary dams over 4km long, originating from Yen Cu Stream and Cau Rong Stream flowing down the mountain, and finally flowing into Tich River.

In nearly 60 years of operation, the lake has not only provided irrigation water for more than 7,000 hectares of agricultural land and improved the surrounding environment, but also become a famous tourist destination in Ba Vi.

Visiting the lake during the September 2nd holiday, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in nature, breathe fresh air, and participate in many activities such as camping, boating, fishing, swimming in the lake, etc. Along the lake and 14 large and small islands in the lake, there are many green trees and fruit trees, and visitors can also experience eating fresh fruit in the garden.
