Trade promotion: A bridge to promote consumption of local products

In the trend of integration and development, enterprises always have the need to cooperate, connect and expand the market for product consumption. Therefore, in recent times, the Department of Industry and Trade has implemented many trade promotion activities, connecting trade, creating bridges to help many enterprises, cooperatives, and production establishments in the province expand their consumption markets, and sign many valuable orders with partners in and outside the region.

BRINGING THE BRAND FAR AWAY

From wild fruits growing in the countryside, Ms. Ha Thi Thuy Vy (Phong Thanh Tay commune, Gia Rai town) has developed products such as: noni wine, noni juice. As a young entrepreneur, when participating in supply-demand connection activities, fairs in and outside the province, she has the opportunity to promote her products, and at the same time has more motivation to develop more products from her hometown. Ms. Vy shared: "By participating in trade promotion activities, connecting supply and demand, my new products have been introduced to distributors, e-commerce platforms, key enterprises, and supermarket systems. In the coming time, I hope that the authorities will support me with machinery and equipment so that I can continue to create quality products and target the export market."

For many years, Ngoc Hai Pork Roll Factory (Gia Rai Town) has found many potential partners and successfully signed many product supply contracts with agents in several other provinces and cities. This achievement is due to the fact that the factory always actively participates in introducing products at fairs and supply-demand connection activities, which not only helps the factory find more customers but also has more new ideas and good ways of doing business.

Through trade promotion activities, it has contributed to enhancing product trading and promoting the circulation of goods in the market. Enterprises, production establishments and cooperatives are increasingly aware of the importance of trade promotion activities, and are more bold and proactive in participating in trade activities, participating in fairs and exhibitions inside and outside the province to promote and seek partners. Many products with strengths and specialties of the province, especially OCOP products, are known to consumers and are present in major markets, supermarkets and convenience stores inside and outside the province such as: Thien Phu fish sauce, Ninh Binh bird's nest, Anh Nguyet dried shrimp, Y Tam shrimp crackers, etc.

CONNECT, EXPAND MARKET

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, in order to bring the province's goods and products to the market, since the beginning of the year, the unit has supported establishments, enterprises, and OCOP entities in the province to participate in many activities such as: Specialized Fair for Coffee and OCOP products in 2025 in Dak Lak; 34th Vietnam International Trade Fair in Hanoi ; 4th Ho Chi Minh City International Food and Foodstuff Exhibition - 2025 (HCMC FOODEX 2025); Trade and Industry Fair, OCOP products and regional specialties of Tay Ninh province in 2025... In the remaining months of the year, the unit plans to support establishments, enterprises, and OCOP entities to participate in the Da Nang Vietnamese Goods Fair 2025 - Honoring OCOP products (expected to take place from June 11 to 16, 2025); OCOP product fair of Hau Giang region (expected from July 1-8, 2025); Exhibition fair of typical rural industrial products in the Southern region in 2025 under the National Industrial Promotion Program in Long An province (expected in the third quarter of 2025)...

In addition, the Department will also continue to promote support for enterprises in applying e-commerce, information technology and digital transformation in trade promotion activities, participating in e-commerce platforms, linking with trading platforms connecting supply and demand. Encourage enterprises to build and promote Bac Lieu's typical brands such as shrimp, rice, salt and other typical OCOP products. Support enterprises in market information; training in trade promotion skills, trade civilization, enterprise management to meet the international integration period...
