According to the Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Control of Vu Quang district, the water level of Ngan Sau river measured at Hoa Duyet station at 2:00 p.m. this afternoon was 9.79 m (0.79 m above alert level II), causing deep flooding in the lower communes of the district. In some areas in Duc Linh commune, flood water rose more than 1 meter, many roads were completely isolated such as in Cua Linh, My Ngoc, Yen Du villages...
National Highway 281, the section passing through Duc Linh commune, is completely cut off. Currently, local authorities have put up signs prohibiting traffic through this area.
The water level of Ngan Sau River rose rapidly, causing the area of village 3 - Bong Giang (Duc Giang commune) to be flooded nearly 1 meter deep, and in some places over 1 meter.
People in Cam Trang village (Duc Giang commune) gathered to move their belongings to a safe place when flood water rose.
People in village 6, Quang Tho commune use tarpaulins stretched along the banks of the Ngan Sau river to prevent rain from causing erosion of gardens and houses.

According to statistics from the People's Committee of Vu Quang district, heavy rains in recent days have caused deep flooding in the downstream communes of the locality. Currently, many traffic routes in the communes of Duc Bong, Duc Linh, Duc Giang, Huong Minh, Duc Lien, Vu Quang town... have been flooded, isolating many residential areas, with a length of flooding of about 29.2 km and 505 households isolated. The whole district had 56 households whose gardens had been eroded, causing damage to fruit trees and outbuildings; many roads in the district were also severely eroded. Notably, flash floods also occurred in Duc Huong commune, affecting 2 households, fortunately there were no human casualties. |
