Six people bought bread at the Quang Ngai City agricultural wholesale market and used it and were poisoned afterwards.

Previously, Quang Ngai General Hospital admitted 6 patients for emergency treatment when they developed symptoms of abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, high fever, headache... Through examination, doctors determined that the 6 patients had food poisoning.

Currently, all 6 patients are being monitored and treated at the Tropical Diseases Department, Provincial General Hospital. Their health is temporarily stable, with no signs of serious complications.

The provincial Center for Disease Control has taken samples of bread and ingredients to test the cause of food poisoning.

According to the patients' relatives, on the night of May 24, these people bought bread at a bakery in the Agricultural Wholesale Market (Nghia Chanh Ward, Quang Ngai City) to eat. The next morning, they experienced symptoms of stomach pain, vomiting... so their relatives took them to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Previously, in Quang Ngai province, there were many cases of people and students being poisoned and having to be hospitalized. Most recently, 5 people in a family in Ly Son district used puffer fish to cook, leading to poisoning.

Faced with frequent food poisoning incidents, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province has sent a dispatch to relevant agencies to trace and strictly handle cases of trading in goods of unknown origin, food that does not ensure food safety and hygiene... especially in areas around school gates.
