On March 17, Hung Vuong General Hospital (Doan Hung District, Phu Tho Province) announced that it had recently admitted 9 people to the emergency room for suspected chemical poisoning .

Previously, on the evening of March 15, Hung Vuong - Kim Xuyen General Clinic (Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang) received 9 hospitalized cases with symptoms of sore throat, headache, nausea, and dizziness.

Through verification by the Department of Health, at 6:00 p.m. on March 15, Mr. N.D.T.'s family, Phu Thinh village, Hao Phu commune (Son Duong) organized a party with 15 trays of food for about 80 people, including dog meat, noodles, wine...

At around 7pm, 9 people who consumed alcohol in plastic bottles showed symptoms of sore throat, headache, nausea, and dizziness.

This amount of wine is contained in a plastic bottle that previously contained ECO FARM STAR disinfectant solution (concentrated disinfectant for disinfecting and sterilizing barns).

Immediately after receiving the patient, through examination, the doctor diagnosed the patient with corrosive poisoning and performed gastric lavage for the patient.

The initial suspected cause of the poisoning was a wine bottle that was reused from a bottle containing toxic chemicals .

The patients were then transferred to Hung Vuong General Hospital in Chi Dam commune, Doan Hung district, Phu Tho province for further monitoring and treatment.

Up to now, the health condition of the patients has stabilized, they are conscious and have been discharged from the hospital.

Previously, many cases of alcohol poisoning occurred, causing many people to be hospitalized and even die. Experts warned of the dangers of drinking alcohol that is not of guaranteed quality.

Doctors also warn people to only use alcohol of clear origin, produced and distributed by reputable establishments; avoid using homemade or unlabeled alcohol, as it may contain impurities or toxic chemicals. At the same time, do not "reuse" cans, containers containing solutions or chemicals to store alcohol.

People need to comply with food safety regulations and immediately report to authorities if they discover unsafe alcohol production and trading establishments.
