The hottest secondary school in Tan Binh district announces 6th grade admission method

Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City has just announced the method of enrolling 6th grade students for the 2025-2026 school year.

Accordingly, in the 2025-2026 school year, Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School will enroll 10 6th grade classes, each class will have no more than 35 students. Of which, there will be 3 integrated English classes and 7 enhanced English classes.

Admission requirements for grade 6

Students who complete primary school at public primary schools in Tan Binh district in the 2024-2025 school year and have excellent results in grade 5 will be eligible to apply.

The integrated English class 6 will be selected as follows: Priority 1 is for students who have completed the primary school program according to the integrated English program. Priority 2: Students who have not studied the integrated English program in primary school must meet one of the following conditions: have a PEIC (PTE Young Learners) certificate at Quickmarch level (Pass - minimum number of stars 3/5 stars according to the Pearson English system);

Have a Flyers certificate (minimum number of shields 12/15 shields) according to the Cambridge English system; Have a TOEFL Primary Level 2 certificate with a minimum number of badges of 3/4 badges (TOEFL Primary, Step 2, 3 badges) according to the ETS system; Other international certificates from level A2 or higher.

The 6th grade of intensive English will be selected as follows: students need to meet one of the following conditions: have a PEIC (PTE Young Learners) certificate at Quickmarch level (Pass - minimum number of stars 3/5 stars) according to the Pearson English system; Have a Flyers certificate (minimum number of shields 12/15 shields) according to the Cambridge English system; Have a TOEFL Primary level 2 certificate with a minimum number of badges of 3/4 badges (TOEFL Primary, Step 2, 3 badges) according to the ETS system; Other international certificates from level A2 or higher.

In addition, students with individual achievements in the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 school years in areas such as: information technology; sports; arts ( music /fine arts); Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team activities... will also be given priority.

Admission timelines

According to the board of directors of Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School, each student can only register for one type of admission; each criterion will be converted into a corresponding score. Based on the total converted score of each student, the admissions board will consider admission in order from highest to lowest.

From now until 5:00 p.m. on May 19, 2025 at the latest: Parents confirm the admission target and the area they want to apply to on the system http://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn.

From May 26 to 29, 2025: Parents complete the application form on the website https://thcsmacdinhchitb.hcm.edu.vn, in the Admissions Information section, select Grade 6 Admissions (parents view the instruction file and prepare evidence before applying).

June 4: Tan Binh District Admissions Council announced the list of admitted students and synchronized it on the website http://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn. The list of admitted students was posted on the information board of Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School and on the electronic information portal https://thcsmacdinhchitb.hcm.edu.vn .

From June 5 to 7: Parents confirm their students' admission to Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School on the website http://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn.

From June 8 to 10: Parents receive admission confirmation and submit admission application at Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School.

Things to note when applying for grade 6

According to the board of directors of Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School, parents are responsible for the accuracy of the online registration form. If the paper application submitted does not match the content of the application, the school will cancel the admission results.

The school only organizes one round of admission, in case the enrollment quota is not met, it will be implemented according to the direction of the Admissions Council of Tan Binh District. In the coming time, the school will implement the high-quality program "Advanced school, international integration", if approved by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the school will then collect the prescribed fee.

For integrated classes, the school will not solve the problem of changing class models throughout the grade level. In the 2025-2026 school year, the student curriculum will be 40 periods/week, 5 days/week and 8 periods/day, including the following programs: Generaleducation program 2018;

English integration or enhancement program; Skills learning program (life skills; digital citizenship skills; STEM education...); Elective sports club program (swimming, pickleball, chess, martial arts, badminton, basketball...). In addition, the school organizes lunch and nap time for students at school if parents need it, they can register when submitting the application for admission.
