Ms. Amelia Dinh, Admissions Director of the University of Bridgeport (UB) in Vietnam, said that there had been previous information that the US government would review "inappropriate" social media posts of visa applicants in general and international students (DHS) in particular. "I believe that the system is just updating technical features to have a more specific section for declaring social media information," Ms. Dinh shared.
"Because this is only a technical factor, DHS will not be affected when applying for a student visa, nor will it affect plans for the next admission season," the representative of the American university emphasized.
"The recent changes have only occurred at a few schools and do not reflect the general situation of the USeducation system," Ms. Dinh reassured, adding that the UB has no plans to cut back and international enrollment activities are taking place normally. "The school still welcomes Vietnamese students as usual, even expanding cooperation with organizations in Vietnam to ensure that DHS will receive closer support," Ms. Dinh shared.

Agreeing, Ms. Dinh My Phuong, admissions representative of Rochester University (USA), said that the school's admissions and scholarship programs currently have no changes or interruptions. Meanwhile, Ms. Lyn Nguyen, Admissions Director of Hartwick University (HC) in Vietnam, affirmed: "We have no plans to tighten admissions regulations, not to mention that Vietnam is our new market in 2025."
Master Dao Thu Hien, founder of GPA Education Organization and member of the Advisory Council at Harvard Business School, Harvard University, emphasized: "The current developments are only temporary, not changing the core foundation of American education. Schools are still actively attracting DHS, not only because of their academic value but also because of their contributions to the community," Ms. Hien added.
Ms. Dao Nhat Mai, General Director of NEEC Study Abroad Consulting Company, predicts that it is highly likely that American universities will offer more attractive policies to attract DHS to rebuild a positive image, avoiding the situation where DHS withdraw to other markets. "Higher scholarships or more favorable admission regulations are policies that are likely to be applied," Ms. Mai predicts.
