BTO-In 2025, our Party will be 95 years old. Over the past 95 years, under the guidance of the Party and great Uncle Ho, the Vietnamese people have united and overcome all difficulties and challenges to achieve historic achievements, bringing bright, happy and prosperous springs to the nation.
95 years of the Party growing up with the Spring of the nation
In the spring of 1930, the Communist Party of Vietnam was born, marking an important turning point in the history of the Vietnamese revolution. At the Party's founding conference, which took place from January 6 to February 7, 1930, the Communist Party of Vietnam determined the development path of the Vietnamese revolution as: "Carrying out bourgeois democratic revolution and land revolution to move towards a communist society", achieving the goal of "National independence and socialism". This is a brilliant milestone on the path of building and developing our nation. Since its establishment, with the correct and creative guidelines, with the practical organizational capacity and the tenacious fighting and heroic sacrifice of many generations of cadres and party members, the trust, support, wholehearted protection and preservation of the people, the Communist Party of Vietnam has led the country to great victories of historical and epochal significance. Our Party led the Vietnamese people to make the miraculous August Revolution, from a colonial, semi-feudal nation that rose up to liberate itself. Our Party continued to lead our people to carry out the "long-term" 9-year resistance war against French colonialism, achieving the Dien Bien Phu victory that "resounded throughout the five continents, shook the world" and the 21-year resistance war against the US, culminating in the historic Ho Chi Minh campaign, completely liberating the South and unifying the country. Promoting the glorious revolutionary spirit, our Party initiated and led our people to carry out the cause of innovation, industrialization, and modernization of the country and achieved great achievements of historical significance. After nearly 40 years of innovation, Vietnam is internationally recognized as a politically stable country with a rapid economic growth rate, and its potential and prestige are increasingly consolidated and increased. In 2024, in the context of many fluctuations in the world economy, Vietnam made a strong impression with an impressive GDP growth of 7.09%, far exceeding forecasts and becoming a bright spot in growth in the region; GDP per capita at current prices is estimated at 114 million VND/person, equivalent to 4,700 USD, an increase of 377 USD compared to 2023. Notably, foreign relations are increasingly expanding and deepening; Vietnam's position and prestige in the international arena are enhanced. To date, Vietnam has established diplomatic relations with 194 countries and territories across five continents; built strategic cooperative partnerships and comprehensive strategic partnerships with all major powers in the world. That further affirms the Party's leadership role in the Vietnamese revolution.
In the bustling atmosphere of the sky and earth, of the spring of At Ty 2025, the entire Vietnamese people are ready to enter a new era with the aspiration to build a strong and prosperous country. General Secretary To Lam clearly stated that the era of the Vietnamese people's rise is the era of development, the era of prosperity, the era of prosperity under the leadership and rule of the Communist Party, successfully building a socialist Vietnam, a rich people, a strong country, democracy, equality, and civilization. General Secretary To Lam clearly identified the time when Vietnam began to enter a new era - the era of the nation's rise and the 14th National Congress of the Party; from here, all Vietnamese people, hundreds of millions of people as one, under the leadership of the Party, will unite, join forces, make the most of opportunities and advantages, push back risks and challenges, and bring the country to comprehensive and strong development, breakthrough and take off.
Binh Thuan proudly continues
In the flow of national history, at the end of 1930 in Binh Thuan, the first Party cell was established at Ong Bang slope, Tam Tan village (old Ham Tan district, now La Gi town). This event had great significance for the revolutionary movement of the province, igniting the revolutionary fire in the hearts of patriots, creating the premise for the establishment of the provincial Party Committee.
At the meeting to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025) and celebrate the Spring of At Ty 2025 organized by the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Secretary of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee - Nguyen Hoai Anh affirmed: Over the past 95 years, the army and people of Binh Thuan have wholeheartedly followed the Party, remained loyal and steadfast to the Party, established the tradition of "self-reliance, heroic fighting, glorious victory" with resounding achievements, contributing to the common victories of the Vietnamese nation.
During the period of national construction and advancement towards socialism, under the leadership of the Party, the army and people of Binh Thuan have constantly strived to gradually build their homeland Binh Thuan to become more and more prosperous. “Despite many difficulties and challenges, with the efforts of the entire political system, the joint efforts and consensus of all classes of people and the business community, our province has achieved very positive results. The economy continues to grow well, with a growth rate of 7.25%, higher than the national average. The scale of the economy continues to expand, reaching more than 128 trillion VND, ranking 26th in the country. People's lives, including ethnic minority and mountainous areas, continue to improve. National defense and security are maintained. The strength of the great national unity bloc continues to be consolidated and promoted,” the Provincial Party Secretary shared.
Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hoai Anh informed that 2025 is the year of many important events for the country and Binh Thuan province; is the year to focus on organizing Party Congresses at all levels and the Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030; striving to achieve a growth rate of 10% or more. The Provincial Party Committee has identified the theme for 2025 as: "Successfully organizing Party Congresses at all levels; streamlining the apparatus, operating effectively, efficiently and effectively". Therefore, Party committees and authorities at all levels need to focus on streamlining the apparatus, promoting administrative reform, enhancing digital transformation; focusing on implementing the Binh Thuan Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050. Strongly developing the 3 economic pillars of the province: Industry, tourism, agriculture. Focus on implementing new policies and regulations; Speed up the progress of implementing key projects of the province. Strive to complete the construction and repair of charity houses, and eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for the poor and people in difficult circumstances by the end of 2025.
“With the goal of developing Binh Thuan province rapidly and sustainably, constantly improving the material and spiritual life of the people; the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Thuan province hope that cadres, party members, people of all walks of life in Binh Thuan and businesses will unite and join hands to successfully implement the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term and the province's socio-economic development plan for 2025. In particular, we hope that cadres and party members, regardless of their positions, whether retired or in office, will strive to build and maintain solidarity for the common goal of developing Binh Thuan; implementing President Ho Chi Minh's teachings "Unity, unity, great unity - Success, success, great success", the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized.
