Over the past 95 years, under the guiding light of the Party and the great President Ho Chi Minh, the Vietnamese people have united and overcome all difficulties and challenges, achieving historical accomplishments and bringing bright, happy, and prosperous springs to the nation.
95 years of the Party growing alongside the spring of the nation.
In the spring of 1930, the Communist Party of Vietnam was founded, marking a crucial turning point in the history of the Vietnamese revolution. At the founding conference, held from January 6th to February 7th, 1930, the Communist Party of Vietnam defined the path of development for the Vietnamese revolution as: "To carry out a bourgeois democratic revolution and an agrarian revolution to move towards a communist society," achieving the goal of "national independence and socialism." This is a glorious milestone in the construction and development of our nation. Since its founding, with its correct and creative policies, its practical organizational capacity, and the tenacious fighting and heroic sacrifices of many generations of cadres and party members, and with the trust, support, and wholehearted protection of the people, the Communist Party of Vietnam has led the country to achieve great victories of historical and epochal significance. Our Party led the Vietnamese people to the miraculous August Revolution, transforming a colonial, semi-feudal nation into one that liberated itself. Our Party continued to lead the nation in the nine-year protracted resistance war against French colonialism, achieving the glorious victory at Dien Bien Phu, which shook the world, and the 21-year war against the United States, culminating in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign, completely liberating the South and unifying the country. Building on this glorious revolutionary spirit, our Party initiated and led the people in the process of renovation, industrialization, and modernization, achieving tremendous and historically significant accomplishments. After nearly 40 years of renovation, Vietnam is internationally recognized as a politically stable nation with rapid economic growth, and its potential and prestige are increasingly consolidated and enhanced. In 2024, amidst a volatile global economy, Vietnam made a strong impression with an impressive GDP growth of 7.09%, far exceeding forecasts and becoming a bright spot in regional growth; GDP per capita at current prices is estimated at VND 114 million, equivalent to USD 4,700, an increase of USD 377 compared to 2023. Notably, foreign relations have expanded and deepened; Vietnam's position and prestige on the international stage have been enhanced. To date, Vietnam has established diplomatic relations with 194 countries and territories across five continents; building strategic cooperative partnerships and comprehensive strategic partnerships with all major powers in the world. This further firmly affirms the Party's leadership role in the Vietnamese revolution.
In the vibrant atmosphere of spring 2025, the entire Vietnamese nation is ready to enter a new era with the aspiration to build a strong and prosperous country. General Secretary To Lam clearly stated that the era of Vietnam's rise is an era of development, a period of wealth and prosperity under the leadership and rule of the Communist Party, successfully building a socialist Vietnam that is rich, strong, democratic, just, and civilized. General Secretary To Lam clearly identified the moment when Vietnam began to enter this new era – the era of national resurgence – and the 14th National Congress of the Party; from here, all Vietnamese people, hundreds of millions of them as one, under the leadership of the Party, will work together, seize opportunities and advantages, overcome risks and challenges, and lead the country to comprehensive, strong, breakthrough, and take flight.
Binh Thuan proudly continues the legacy.
In harmony with the historical flow of the nation, at the end of 1930 in Binh Thuan, the first Party cell was established at Ong Bang slope, Tam Tan village (formerly Ham Tan district, now La Gi town). This event had immense significance for the revolutionary movement of the province, igniting the revolutionary flame in the hearts of patriots and laying the groundwork for the establishment of the provincial Party committee.
At the meeting commemorating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025) and celebrating the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025, organized by the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Thuan province, the Secretary of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Hoai Anh, affirmed: For the past 95 years, the army and people of Binh Thuan have wholeheartedly followed the Party, remaining loyal and steadfast to the Party, establishing a tradition of "self-reliance, self-strengthening, glorious fighting, and brilliant victories" with resounding achievements, contributing to the overall victories of the Vietnamese nation.
During the period of national construction and progress towards socialism, under the leadership of the Party, the people and military of Binh Thuan have continuously strived, gradually building a more prosperous and beautiful homeland. “Despite many difficulties and challenges, with the efforts of the entire political system, the unity and solidarity of all strata of the people and the business community, our province has achieved very positive results. The economy continues to grow at a fairly high rate, reaching 7.25%, higher than the national average. The scale of the economy continues to expand, reaching over 128 trillion VND, ranking 26th in the country. The lives of the people, including ethnic minorities and mountainous areas, continue to improve. National defense and security are maintained. The strength of national unity continues to be consolidated and promoted,” the Provincial Party Secretary shared.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hoai Anh informed that 2025 will be a year of many important events for the country and for Binh Thuan province; it will be a year of focusing on organizing Party congresses at all levels and the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term; striving to achieve a growth rate of 10% or more. The Provincial Party Committee has identified the theme for 2025 as: "Successfully organizing Party congresses at all levels; streamlining the organizational structure for efficient, effective, and efficient operation." Therefore, Party committees and authorities at all levels need to focus on streamlining the organizational structure, promoting administrative reform, strengthening digital transformation; concentrating efforts on implementing the Binh Thuan Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. Strongly developing the province's three economic pillars: industry, tourism, and agriculture. Paying attention to implementing new policies and regulations; Accelerate the progress of implementing key projects and works of the province. Strive to complete the construction and repair of charitable houses, eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for the poor and those in difficult circumstances by the end of 2025.
“With the goal of developing Binh Thuan province rapidly and sustainably, and continuously improving the material and spiritual lives of its people, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Binh Thuan Province earnestly hope that cadres, Party members, and all strata of the people of Binh Thuan, as well as businesses, will work together to successfully implement the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term and the province's socio-economic development plan for 2025. In particular, we earnestly hope that all cadres and Party members, regardless of their position, whether retired or currently serving, will strive to build and maintain unity for the common goal of developing our homeland, Binh Thuan; fulfilling President Ho Chi Minh's teaching, "Unity, unity, great unity – Success, success, great success," the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized.
Another spring has arrived, and our country and our people have the Party. Proud of the glorious Party and the great President Ho Chi Minh, every cadre, Party member, and citizen of Vietnam in general, and the people of Binh Thuan in particular, will always firmly believe that the Party will lead our people to successfully carry out the cause of reform, steadily advancing towards socialism in the era of national development...
